Each month, Trader Joe's brings us a slew of new and exciting products, as well as returning seasonal favorites. It can be a lot to keep up with, but luckily the store is great about highlighting what's new on shelves, especially through its podcast, "Inside Trader Joe's". We recently got a preview of employees' favorite finds for spring, and now some of those products are arriving in stores. In addition to those finds, we've got five more new and returning products to keep on your radar in April. Here are the best new products in Trader Joe's stores this month, and as a bonus, they're all under $5.

The Best New Trader Joe's Products This Month

1. Mini Chocolate Chip Croissant Swirls, $3.99

Start your day off on the best possible foot with these mini croissant swirls studded with gooey chocolate chips. If you know anything about Trader Joe's, you know its frozen breakfast options are not to be overlooked—especially the frozen croissants. The best part of these? Unlike TJ's other frozen croissants, which require overnight proofing (and therefore some foresight and proper planning), these are ready-to-bake whenever a craving strikes. Just let them come to room temperature, then bake until mouthwateringly flaky, buttery, and golden brown.

2. Sonora Style Flour Tortillas, $2.99

And speaking of breakfast, your breakfast burrito just got ten times tastier thanks to Trader Joe's. I've always been a bit lukewarm on the tortilla options at TJ's, but these Sonoran-style flour tortillas look poised to change that. Sonoran-style tortillas are stretchy with flaky layers like a croissant, making them a delicious choice for all your taco, burrito, and quesadilla needs. And psst—these tortillas are made with oil rather than the traditional lard, so they're vegetarian-friendly, too. Plus, 12 for just under $3 is a pretty dang good deal.

3. Cookies & Crème Pretzel Slims, $3.49

A returning customer favorite, we're so excited that these are back on shelves. And we're not the only ones—one Instagram commenter wrote, "Went today to Trader Joe’s and grabbed two of them since my son loves them and wipes out the bag." If you're a fan of the Hershey's Cookies ‘N’ Creme bar, these are a must-try.

4. Egg Salad, $4.99

Look, can you make egg salad at home? Of course (and we've got some great tips for when you do). But when it comes to convenience, it doesn't get easier than grab-and-go salads for lunch. And, according to Trader Joe's website, this one has been recently reformulated to be even more delicious.

They write, "Egg Salad took a brief hiatus from our refrigerators, we took the opportunity to see how we could make it even more delicious. Now returning to our refrigerators with a new look and a new recipe, Trader Joe’s Egg Salad might just be one the tastiest examples of kaizen (a Japanese term meaning continuous improvement) in action you’ll ever encounter."

5. Brown Butter Salted Caramel Mini Biscotti, $4.99

If you've never tried Trader Joe's biscotti, you're missing out. Amongst the many tasty treats and crunchy cookies is a true hidden gem: mini biscotti. They're the perfect little after-dinner dessert or mid-afternoon pick-me-up, especially alongside a cup of coffee. This new variation features the flavors of brown butter and salted caramel—need we say more?
