Best Thing I Ate This Week: Bully Barbeque serves old-fashioned fare in Oldham County

If it's lunchtime on a nice day, it might be tough to find a seat inside the barbecue restaurant just off the highway in Goshen.

Walking into Bully Barbeque, you'll notice the steaming 16-foot-long smokers surrounded by stacks of wood. And you'll notice plenty of cars in the lot.

Since relocating to this building in early 2023, Bully Barbeque has stayed busy, according to owner Robert Foree. He and his wife, Barbara, previously operated their barbecue spot in La Grange, where they opened in 2012.

The bigger space in Goshen allows more customers to enjoy a menu featuring slow-cooked pulled pork, brisket, chicken and ribs, along with house-made sides such as potato salad, onion rings, smoked baked beans and baked potatoes.

The barbecue joint, 9401 Highway 42, Goshen, is open from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
