The Best Swimwear Brands for Big Boobs

1. ASOS Fuller Bust

You may already know and love ASOS for its affordable and on-trend fast fashion, with sizes that account for tall, petite, plus and maternity. But did you know it also has an entire section of its site dedicated to swimwear for those with a bigger bosom? The Fuller Bust swim collection, a personal favorite of fashion director Dena Silver, boasts more than 600 bikinis and one-piece suits specifically designed with the DD-plus crew in mind. And these are not the dowdy halters or bra-adjacent styles so many brands resort to, but truly trendy, sexy, fun swimsuits that will make you eager to book a beach getaway ASAP.

Available in sizes 0 to 16, 30A to 38G

2. Heidi Klein

This U.K.-based brand has a very devoted cult following that includes the likes of Jennifer Aniston and Kate Moss. But for those with a larger chest, it’s the brand’s signature focus on construction that never actually resembles a bra or corset (thought it may offer similar support) that keeps them coming back summer after summer. The design team doesn’t just increase the measurements or amount of fabric for larger sizes but instead does a deep dive into exactly what needs to be done to make every style work for every bust size.

Available in sizes XXS to XL, 26B to 38E

3. RAQ

As the Raq site declares, "We make bikinis that suit the silent majority of boobs. Big boobs. Hormonal boobs. Augmented boobs. Pregnant boobs. Any boob that’s D cup or larger, we’re all over it. Literally." As for how they fit IRL? One PureWow editor said slipping into a RAQ bikini was the first time she ever felt like a bathing suit top actually fit properly, looked trendy and was flattering.

4. Figleaves

We first fell in love with Figleaves for its in-house label of affordable lingerie offered in a wide size range, but it’s the gorgeous swim collection that we’re currently obsessing over. Yes, you can shop well-known brands like Ted Baker, Miraclesuit, Freya Swim and Calvin Klein (just to name a few) on the site, but the true all-stars are from Figleaves’s own line. Every print comes in multiple styles, so you can find one that suits your body type and you personal taste. They achieve that with innovative molded cups, adjustable straps and slimming panels included in one-pieces.

Available in sizes 30D to 38H, 6 to 26, also Long

5. Swimsuits For All

As the name suggests, Swimsuits For All curates a selection of suits and cover-ups that cater to a wide variety of bodies. Their plus-size selection features multiple in-house brands and collaborations with the likes of Ashley Graham and Gabi Gregg of the blog GabiFresh. You can search by your needs, whether that’s tummy control, underwire, bikini separates in different sizes and more. Plus, there are a plethora of reviews to read through from the site’s cult following.

Available in sizes 4 to 40

6. Summersalt

Summersalt could have fit into multiple categories on this list—under $100, eco-friendly, long torso, full coverage, maternity—but we find its 0 to 24 size range, for all suits, to be worth a shout out. Since its launch in 2017, the brand has also made a conscious effort to eschew the “typical” bikini model for a better representation of women with a variety of skin tones, body types and ages. And with a fit formula that’s based on input from more than 10,000 women (including multiple rounds of fit testing), you can bet there’s a suit in the Summersalt lineup that will fit you like a glove.

Available in sizes 0 to 24

7. Kitty & Vibe

This cheerful swim line has a unique sizing system for its bottoms, taking into account not just your waist measurements but the size of your bum as well. The end result is better fitting swimsuits for both the big and small bottomed among us, with no riding up, unflattering bunching or weird diaper-esque bagginess. Add to that a mix of bright prints, many of which are reversible, and the fact that every piece rings in under $100 and you’ve got yourself a new favorite swim brand.

8. Andie

Andie is yet another brand that fits within multiple categories here, but with such a limited selection of long-torso swimwear available we decided to highlight the fact that Andie is way ahead of its competitors in this category. It was just last year that the brand decided to test the waters by offering long-torso lengths for a handful of classic one-pieces in select colors with the hope that it could introduce more styles in the future. Well, the future is here and Andie has truly delivered on its promise. Almost every single one-piece, in every color option, is now available in long. Oh, and they’re also under 100 bucks.

Shop Andie

Available in sizes 00 to 24, 30A to 44E

9. ASOS Tall

Good old ASOS, once again. It’s the U.K. retailer’s impressive size-inclusivity that lands it on this list not once, but twice. While the specially curated Tall collection is designed for women 5’10” and above, shorter gals with lengthy midsections can wear these styles just the same.

10. Aerie

Another PureWow favorite, Aerie isn’t just for teenagers or college-age gals—it’s for anyone looking to snap up an affordable new swimsuit that’s well made, size-inclusive and does its part to help combat global warming and the fashion industry’s wasteful reputation. American Eagle’s sister brand is slowly but surely expanding it’s eco-friendly and sustainable practices, the latest of which was the launch of Real Good Swim. The 30-plus piece collection is made from recycled nylon fabric and plastic bottles. As for finding the right fit for you, there are multiple style options for each of the brand’s adorable unique prints, all of which come in under $75.

Available in sizes XS to XXXL, 30A to 38DD

11. Zaful

If and when you stumble across a swimwear brand that features entire bikini sets and one-pieces for under $40 a pop, you’ll likely be just as skeptical as I was upon discovering Zaful. But thanks to one brave friend who took the plunge and ordered a $16 bathing suit from the brand off of Amazon, I now have a fantastic and super budget-friendly place to snap up some new swimwear each summer. Of course, there are a few caveats—most suits come as a pair, meaning you can’t order separate sizes, there isn’t much support for larger busts, etc.—but for $20 I’ll happily live with one or two imperfections.

Shop Zaful

Available in sizes S to XL

12. Cupshe

Cupshe’s purposely mismatched sets take all the guess work out of how to pair a solid-hued bottom with a printed top, or vice versa. If mixing and matching isn’t your vibe, there are also full sets and one-pieces to choose from. And while most styles are sold as a unit, meaning you have to choose one size for both top and bottom, the brand also sells some one-off bikini separates, so you can play matchmaker on your own and feel confident you’re ordering the right size for both your booty and your boobs.

13. Motherhood Maternity

If a belly-baring bikini isn’t really your style, Motherhood Maternity has lots of adorable one-piece suits that will accommodate a growing bump. Of course, the brand also offers tankini styles, should you be worried about dealing with a spandex one-piece during the frequent bathroom breaks you’re oh so familiar with. Plus, most suits are made with UPF 50.

Available in sizes XS to XL

14. Hatch

Simple, classic, easy to wear—all things that describe Hatch’s collection of maternity swimwear. These solid-colored suits are on the more expensive end of the spectrum (one pieces go for $218 while bikinis cost $208), but they’re also made from super-soft fabric that offers just enough support without feeling constricting, so you can focus on more important things, like finally finishing that juicy beach read.

The Best Swimwear Brands for Nursing Moms

15. Moloco

We were over-the-moon excited last year to learn about this niche swimwear line that caters specifically to those who are breastfeeding. The brand’s range may be small—there are just two bikini bottom styles, one bikini top and a one-piece, each available in three colors—but it’s also incredibly chic and highly functional. There’s even a how-to video demonstrating exactly how to maneuver your minimalist suit to prevent showing more than you’re comfortable with.

The Best Swimwear Brands for Full Coverage (That Won’t Look Dowdy)

16. Hermoza

Not everyone loves the idea of a cheeky swim bottom or a cleavage-baring bikini. Of course, that shouldn’t mean relegating yourself to boring black one-pieces. Hermoza offers a ton of brightly colored and patterned swimsuits with built-in shaping that doesn’t feel constricting but looks extremely flattering. There are even matching styles for girls, as well as coverups, so you can prep for your whole beach vacay in one shopping trip.

Shop Hermoza

Available in sizes 2 to 18

17. Miraclesuit

If shaping and smoothing panels are what you’re after, then there’s no better brand to shop than Miraclesuit. The actual miracle is all in the fabric, Miratex, which manages to deliver three times the control as other, more restrictive, inflexible materials typically used in shaping swimwear. The brand also focuses on designs that accentuate and support curves, rather than smooshing them down or leaving them to flop about. There are gorgeous solid hues, sexy sheer panels and lots of prints to play with. There are also plus-size styles available, as well as some made specifically for large busts.

Shop Miraclesuit

Available in sizes 6 to 24

18. La Blanca

This California-based brand has a wide range of bikinis and one-pieces, some with more coverage than others, but all made with an incredible attention to detail when it comes to fit. Every suit is designed to be adjustable, so you can alter the straps, waistband or belted middle as you’d like. Plus, all La Blanca swimwear comes with molded cups, either sewn in (for styles with more support) or removable, to ensure you won’t have any unwanted nippy situations.

The Best Eco-Friendly Swimwear Brands

19. Vitamin A

Prior to launching her own swim brand, Amahlia Stevens worked on a design project with Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia and a passionate environmentalist. Inspired by his commitment to sustainability, she decided to put a major emphasis on incorporating eco-friendly fabrics and practices into her brand. Now, 20 years later Vitamin A uses solely fabrics that meet the global Oeko-Tex standard for safe textiles, manufactures 95 percent of its products locally in Southern California, partners with charitable organizations like 1 For the Planet, Oceana and the Surfrider Foundation and uses recycled and recyclable packing materials for all its shipments. Add to that a super chic minimalist aesthetic (and an incredibly soft EcoLux fabric) and you’ve got yourself a luxury swim brand you’ll be proud to wear.

Available in sizes 4 to 14

20. Indigo Swim

All of the fabrics used to create Indigo Swim’s sleek and easy suits are made with Econyl yarn, which is made from recycled fishing nets and ocean waste, even down to the linings and molded cups. In addition, a portion of every purchase goes toward beach clean-up efforts in Bali (where the suits are manufactured) and Southern California (where the company’s headquarters are located). Indigo also uses eco-friendly materials for all of its packaging, from the boxes in which its suits are shipped down the hangtags. Bonus: It also has matching mama and mini suits for you and your little lady.

Available in sizes XS to XXL

21. Seea

What began as company geared specifically toward surfers has since expanded to include a number of adorable beach and poolside styles as well as coverups and other apparel. The swimwear is made from eco-friendly fabrics like Repreve and Econyl, while the clothing items use upcycled materials and recovered deadstock, all in an attempt to reduce the brand’s carbon footprint. As for the wetsuits, Seea swapped out neoprene for Yulex, a natural rubber that works every bit as well for keeping ocean explorers and surfers warm and comfortable while they hit the waves. In terms of production, everything happens within a 70-mile radius from the brand’s HQ in San Clemente, CA.

22. Left On Friday

LOF was founded on the idea that running after your kiddo on the beach or paddling on your surfboard shouldn’t also mean sacrificing luxe fabrics or style. Its signature material, Smoothing Dream Fabric, is made in Italy and while it does offer some compression to smooth and support your curves, it feels like butter on the skin and won’t get that annoying itchy feeling after wearing a swimsuit (wet or dry) all day long. And because a no-slip, no-dig feel is so important, the brand has a comprehensive fit guide on its site with recommendations on which styles are best for bigger boobs, longer torsos, breastfeeding mamas or surfing the big kahuna.

Available in sizes XS to XXL

23. Mara Hoffman

We’ve long loved Mara Hoffman for its incredibly flattering silhouettes, built-in UPF 50 sun protection and vibrant original patterns that somehow always feel both grown-up and impossibly fun. And just when we thought we couldn’t love these soft, long-lasting swimsuits any more, in 2015 the brand began implementing more eco-friendly and sustainable practices into its manufacturing process as well as introducing extended sizing.

Shop Mara Hoffman

Available in sizes XS to 2X

24. Fella

This Australian brand somehow managed to combine a true retro vibe with modern textures and fresh colors in a way that doesn’t feel costume-y or campy. Instead, every style from Fella looks and feels super luxe, perfect for a vacation on the Amalfi Coast (or for laying in your backyard with an Aperol spritz and pretending you’re at Le Sirenuse in Positano). Shop textured bikini separates in rich earthy tones, cheeky one-pieces in bright ‘60s-inspired prints and lots of timeless solid styles that are worth the investment. There’s also a handy style guide that can help determine which pieces are best for your body type.

The Best Athletic Swimwear Brands

25. Athleta

You already know and love Athleta for its high-quality leggings but the brand also offers a fabulous selection of sport-minded swimwear. There are lots of different two-piece options to fit your needs (as well as multiple one-pieces, if that’s more your style), from cropped rashguards to high-neck tops to high-waist bottoms that will never ride up. Oh, and did we mention that 100 percent of Athleta’s swim designs incorporate recycled materials?

Available in sizes XXS to XL, 30C to 40DD, also in Tall and Petite

26. Carve Designs

Carve Designs began as strictly a surf company back in 2003, specializing in boardshorts and rashguards built to last. Since then, founders Jennifer Hinton and Thayer Sylvester has expanded their options to include multiple stylish (and sport-ready) swim styles, as well as sun-protection clothing with built-in UPF. There’s even an option to search by activity level (as well as by coverage) to guarantee you end up with a suit that can withstand whatever workout you have planned.

Shop Carve Designs

Available in sizes XXS/0 to XL/14

27. Lululemon

Sleek minimalism is the name of the game when it comes to Lululemon’s swimwear designs. And while there are certainly a number of classically sporty pieces, we’re partial to the more delicate silhouettes which will look just as good lounging poolside as they will feel while you’re perfecting the butterfly stroke.

Editors’ Favorite Swimwear Brands

28. J.Crew

J.Crew has long been one of our favorite go-to spots to pick up a new high quality, brightly-colored suit for the summer without breaking the bank. And while we love to mix and match the solid-hued separates to create a bikini unique to our personal style, the incredible selection of patterns and prints shouldn’t be ignored. Especially if you’re the type of person who like to match her cover-up to her swimwear.

Shop J.Crew

Available in sizes 0 to 24, XS to 3X

29. Solid & Striped

Despite the name, Solid & Striped does indeed offer swimwear in other prints, but the brand truly excels when it comes to nautical inspirations—red and blue stripes, gold hardware, rope ties, etc. Multiple PureWow editors recommended the brand for its impeccable fit and the fact that, while not cheap, Sold & Striped’s suits are built to last without blowing your whole summer shopping budget. It also offers customization on some of its more classic styles with the option to add your monogram or flag initials (each letter of the alphabet is represented by a different nautical flag, just FYI).

Shop Solid & Striped

Available in sizes XS to XL

30. L*Space

What we love most about is L*Space swim is having the option to mix and match multiple top and bottom styles to create a bikini that’s entirely your own, whether that be a tringle top and high waist cut or a classic halter and cheeky side-ties. There are seemingly hundreds of combinations to be made…and that’s before you expand to include other colors, textures and patterns. The suits are constructed beautifully, with just enough support to keep everything in place without feeling too constricting.

Shop L*Space

Available in sizes XS to XL, 4 to 12

31. Triangl

This sexy Australian line has been a celebrity favorite for years now, counting Beyoncé, Kendall Jenner and Miley Cyrus as fans. The brand originally took off thanks to its bright color blocked neoprene bikinis (which were swiftly copied by Victoria’s Secret, Forever 21 and other fast fashion brands) but has since branched into additional fabrics, patterns and colors, always with its signature minimalist silhouettes.
