The Best Street Style From Helsinki Fashion Week Spring 2019
Helsinki Fashion Week is unlike any other. For starters, it takes place but once a year—in July, when the midnight sun rises by 5:00 a.m. and sets past 10:00. The Nordic event also spotlights sustainable designers from around the world, rather than focus on domestic talent, thereby drawing an unconventional crowd of stylish locals and overseas guests. With Spring 2019, HFW unveiled a new Eco Village, positioned by the sea on the southern island of Tahvonlahti, and Style du Monde photographer Acielle was on the ground to capture the picture-postcard scene outside.
