The Stanley Tumbler’s just way too big — this one has all the perks but in a much more compact package

You likely already know that the No. 1 best-selling and cult favorite Stanley Tumbler is the most popular drinking vessel of the year. In fact, it’s so hot that it keeps selling out to this day.

I’ve tested a few Stanley Tumbler dupes from the Hydrapeak Voyager to the YETI Rambler Travel Mug and concluded that the newly released Fellow Carter Cold Tumbler is the best of the bunch, hitting the mark on affordability, portability, size, cold retention and more.

Most people know the brand Fellow for its specialty coffee gear, like its best-selling Stagg EKG Pro Electric Kettle, hi-tech coffee grinder and filters. However, its newest accessory — the Carter Cold Tumbler — is what everyone's been talking about lately for being the official Stanley Tumbler replacement.

This isn’t the brand’s first foray into drinking vessels, though. The brand’s award-winning Carter Move Mug is one of its all-time best sellers for its compact shape and form that’s easy to handle. Fellow took what its customers loved most about it and reimagined the vessel for cold sipping with added straw functionality.

After trying it myself, though, and having used the Stanley Tumbler and several others for months, I’ve found myself reaching for the Carter Cold Tumbler repeatedly, leading me to confidently dub it the best Stanley Tumbler dupe.

In addition to being the most aesthetically pleasing tumbler of the small best-selling group, it’s spill-resistant, cup holder compatible, environmentally friendly and doesn’t have that “sweaty” and clammy cup feel after cold beverages have been sitting in it for hours on end.

In fact, the Carter Cold Tumbler has the viral Stanley Quencher beat in performance. The double-walled Carter Cold keeps beverages cold for over 18 hours, while the Stanley Quencher caps at 11 hours.

While its ability to sustain cold drinks more than any other cup is truly impressive, what I appreciate most about the Carter Cold is its thoughtful design. Unlike the massive Stanley Quencher and Hydrapeak Voyager, this Fellow tumbler is compact and holds just enough.

It fits in every cup holder and is also super easy to clean by just removing its components (the lid is also dishwasher-safe).

The Carter Cold currently comes in six matte colors and is $15 cheaper than the Stanley, making it the perfect affordable Stanley Tumbler dupe. Also, if you’d like to make it extra special for yourself or someone else, engraving is available for $10 extra, leading to a total that’s still cheaper than the Stanley Quencher.
