Sport fragrances are a new but very fast growing category of fragrances. They’re usually geared towards men, but not always.
What are sport fragrances?
While you might think sport fragrances are perfumes you can wear while partaking in a physical activity, that’s actually not really the idea. Though you can certainly reach for a sport-inspired scent next time you head to the tennis court or your workout class, many people consider that – for obvious reasons – bad etiquette. Instead, sport fragrances are scents that have been inspired by sports. We’re talking notes like grass, salt water and even clay.
Sometimes, a lighter version of an existing scent is also referred to as a “sport fragrance,” which circles back to the etiquette of not wearing a scent whilst partaking in a workout or sport. Examples of this would be Chanel Allure Homme Sport and Dior Homme Sport, but for our purposes we’ll be sticking to sports fragrances actually inspired by sports.
