Common knowledge suggests that you should get eight hours of sleep every night for optimal performance during daytime hours. But, there's no scientific backing that there's only one style of pajamas for women that can induce sweet dreams and optimal snoozing. Instead, pajamas come in all different variations. "A dress is great for a super frictionless resting experience and great for someone who enjoys a bit more glamour," suggests Ashley Merrill, founder of sleepwear label Lunya. "Short sleeves versus full sleeves is really about what temperature you run and what flatters your body best." In the midst of summer, you'll likely want to aim for fabrics that will keep you cooler—namely light cottons or silks. As you get in to winter, swap in flannel, fleece, or even cashmere to stay warm.
