The Best Highlight Videos of the 2023 Tour de France Are Amazingly Complete, and Even Better, Free

If you didn’t shell out for a Peacock subscription, or if you somehow just don’t have 5-plus hours a day to spend watching all of the racing, the Tour de France YouTube channel has you covered. They distill each hour of action down to about a minute of summary footage. It really feels like you’re getting the Cliffs Notes version of the race without the lulls or the commercials.
Each stage gets a preview, and then highlights throughout the day, updated as the race unfolds. So if you, say, have to pop into a meeting at work, you can get a quick recap immediately about what you missed in that hour that could have been an email (we’ve all been there).
For example, the stage 5 Tour de France YouTube coverage included nine videos with everything from a pre-race interview with Julian Alaphilippe, to a post-race recap with stage winner, Jai Hindley. We get caught up on each section of the stage, with all the crashes, close-calls, and sprints away from the peloton. An excellent way to stay in the know about all the action.
The Tour de France also has a TikTok, which has been giving us heartfelt, funny, and dramatic moments, both in the race and from the downtime before and after each stage. So far the Tour’s TikTok page (@LeTourDeFrance) has featured lots of funny faces and the lighter side of the most serious race on the planet.
And if you’re in the market for a little more sarcasm and analysis from a retired WorldTour pro, Phil Gaimon is also posting a daily 10-20 minute recap on his YouTube channel, which occasionally features guest voices, and maybe even an appearance from his hilarious dog, Creature.
It’s the Tour de France! You can never have too much coverage! So watch it all and keep reliving the best moments.
