Foot health is wealth, and no one knows foot wellness better than folks who sell feet pics for a living. The models who power FeetFinder, a fetish site for feet content, have a vested interest in putting their best foot forward, and know the products and methods that work best.

Today's Top Deals

Offering pictures from foot models in categories from ‘Soles’ to ‘Pedicure’, ‘Lotion’ and even ‘Dirty Feet,’ the website caters to all tastes, and foot types, and the popularity of the content is a reason why popular influencers blur out their bare feet in full-body pictures on Instagram. The phrase “no free feet?” That’s because of places like FeetFinder, wikifeet, and the foot section of OnlyFans where models can make thousands of dollars a month selling their pedal content, no face required.

It’s a huge industry: FeetFinder is just one of a handful of sites that host feet pictures, and has over 230,000 followers on Twitter. Other sites, like FunWithFeet, Instafeet, Feetify, and, believe it or not, AllThingsWorn cater to the same interests. A search for #footmodel on Instagram returns almost 300,000 results from amateur posers trying to make the bigs. An exploratory Google search delivers actionable how-to blog posts on monetizing foot content in 2023. Foot content pays, and the models who’ve landed a lucrative platform have a financial obligation to take care of their feet as best they can. We asked them to share their tricks of the trade.

Foot Health Matters

Everyone should take care of their feet, whether their toes are worth a paid subscription or not.  A 2018 study of 498 participants published in the BMJ Open journal found that those with ‘foot pathologies’ (i.e. foot pain, foot function, and bad overall foot health) had a lower quality of life than those who took better care of their feet. And, according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) CDC poor foot hygiene can lead to conditions such as athlete’s foot (a fungal infection), other fungal nail infections, and even hookworm.

Meanwhile, a review from Harvard Health found that women in particular, despite attention paid to aesthetic elements of their feet, put off health problems until they become impossible to ignore. “While they might clip and paint their toenails on a regular basis, women often neglect the health of their feet,” the authors write, pointing to another 2018 study from the American Podiatric Medical Association, which found of 1300 people surveyed, 75% reported problems with their feet, from odors to bunions and nail problems.

According to Marian T. Hannan, a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, good foot care includes choosing comfortable footwear, soaking the feet on a regular basis to remove bacteria and fungi, regularly moisturizing, frequently changing socks, and trimming toenails.

How Do Foot Models Take Care of Their Feet?

“I get my toenails painted every three weeks. I also make sure my skin is always well hydrated by using moisturizer on them morning and night,” said OnlyFans creator Tinsley Teaser. “I also use a pumice stone to get rid of dead skin.”

As a male foot model, @TeddyBigFeet (also known as @juanpfernandez13), favors a slightly simpler foot care routine. “My feet care routine is not the hardest nor most detailed one,” he said. “I trim my toenails about three times a month. As per callouses, believe it or not, I don’t get them often. But I do try to pamper my feet every now and then.”

Fernandez receives a medical pedicure up to five times per year and keeps his nails in good shape in order to avoid ingrowns. “I also try to avoid tight-fitting or narrow shoes, you’ll either see me in comfortable tennis shoes or Crocs,” he said.

@Soleofmax has had size 12.5 feet since the age of 12 and says he has been buying himself nail kits to maintain his feet since he was a child. These days, he also likes using coconut oil and even hair conditioner to keep his feet moist.

Not every foot pic requires hours of maintenance. For some models, like @Tall.Man98, the preference is to keep their feet as natural looking as possible. “I pretty much just clip my toenails once every two weeks or so, they don’t grow very fast,” he said. He rinses them in the shower and that’s about it.

Frequently Asked Questions About Feet

How often should I clean my feet?

Our FeetFinder experts recommend cleaning feet once in the morning and after exercise. Tinsley Teaser recommends experimenting with the products listed above to find a suitable soap/exfoliate/mask combination.

How often should I trim my toe nails?

When your partner starts to complain or beach days get awkward, it’s time. The recommendation is every six to eight weeks for adults, but some may need more than that to avoid being banned from sandal wearing while guests are over.

Are spa treatments worth it?

Absolutely. Many of our Feet,Finder experts, especially Fernandez, are big fans of spa treatments like pedicures to help keep feet fresh. “If you’re not good at clipping your toenails or taking care of your feet in general, leave it to the professionals,” he advised.

Is there a one-size-fits-all solution?

Nope. “We all are different and so are our feet,” said Fernandez. “Just make sure to maintain a good hygiene routine. Pamper your feet as much as possible, massage them yourself, or better yet, have someone massage them for you.”
