It was quite the week on Instagram thanks to the high and holy celebrations of the Met Gala. Unless you were under a rock, you will know that Rihanna walked the red carpet in a custom Pope-inspired look created by John Galliano for Maison Martin Margiela. Bishop’s hat included! Also on theme were Pharrell and his wife Helen Lasichanh who both resembled well-dressed angels in Chanel. Bonus points for the rapper and producer who sported a neck laden with colorful crosses, adding pizazz to his suit. Back in town was Kate Moss who marked her return to the Met Gala with a leather jacket emblazoned with the phrase “Make America Kate Again.” Fun fact: It was Moss’s first Met Gala in almost 10 years and, yes, she looked great at the event, too. Supermodel Cindy Crawford was there, too, in a chic curve-hugging Versace red dress. As for the morning after? Well, Kendall Jenner declared she was “heavenly hungover” on a rooftop in a grand, red gown. Not a bad look when you’re not feeling so swell.
Other notable moments? SZA posted a still from Childish Gambino’s breakout video for “This Is America.” Many believe that the singer played the role of Lady Liberty thanks to her caption “Liberty.” Another thing to note: Quavo has officially made the case for the medallion.
