Brown Eyes
Women with brown eyes and brunettes in general can wear pretty much any color, says Ray. Since it's a neutral tone, there's a lot of opportunity to compliment the eye, but not too many chances of clashing. Plums and purples highlight the richness of brown eyes, says Ray. On the other hand, brown and gold shadows will bring out the clarity in your eyes. If you're looking for something a bit more out of the box, mossy green and blue shades also look stunning on brown eyes, he says. Blue Eyes
In general, neutral shades look great on blue eyes. For baby blues, a shimmery champagne looks chic on the lids when you apply rich browns in the crease of the eyelid, says Ray. Terracotta and bronze shades really make blue eyes pop. To take these shadows up a notch, Ray recommends finishing off the look with a bronze eyeliner.

Green Eyes
Green-eyed girls have lots of colorful choices. Purple shades make green eyes more vivid, says Ray. He recommends lighter purples for day and darker shades for evening. These work well because purple is opposite green on the color wheel, providing an exciting contrast. Pink and peach are also lovely on green eyelids, he says. Another option are burgundy and rust shades.

Hazel Eyes
Warm shades are great for bringing out the gold flecks in hazel eyes, says Ray. Similar to their green counterparts, hazel eyes pop in violet and bright lavender shadows as well.

Grey Eyes
Grey eyes are unique, so you want your shadow to really emphasize their color. "I love the way pewter and charcoal shades enhance grey eyes," says Ray. Cool shades of blue are also a great way to explore color while making the grey pop.
