Best exercise bike deals for Amazon Prime Day 2023: what I would buy and why
Day two of the Amazon Prime Day sales are drawing to a close and I've been handpicking exercise bike deals since it all kicked off early yesterday.
My top money savers include big discounts on Peloton indoor bikes, as well as large reductions on tech laden Peloton alternatives, such as Echelon and NordicTrack.
I think the best deal by far has to be the Sunny Health and Fitness indoor exercise bike, which has a Amazon Prime Day saving of nearly 65%.
Other deals from lesser know brands are not to be sniffed at, the Zwift connected MERACH exercise bike which has a very decent 41% off, coming in now at $237.99, really challenging the prices of the big indoor smart bike brands.

As well as Amazon Prime exercise bike deals, I've been looking further afield to try and find good deals and checking prices for you. I've been keeping my eyes on Walmart exercise bikes, Decathlon USA and Decathlon UK and Target
The best deals seem to all be state side, and direct from Amazon, but Walmart is showing up a few surprises.
The UK really hasn't to embraced Amazon Prime day as much, as there really are slim pickings out there for exercise bike deals, but it's always worth keeping an eye on the other sites and I've also been Wiggle, Argos and John Lewis to watch out for price drops.
Oh, and I also found the LifeSpan Cycle Boxer upright bike with boxing pad. Who knew this was even a thing?

It's been around for a long time, but it's still popular and a decent indoor workout if you lack motivation or just like the ease of taking a class at anytime from home.
We've reviewed the Peloton indoor training bike and written quite a bit around is the Peloton indoor exercise bike and app worth it, and the general consensus is it's a good option if you're not looking for specific cycling metric data.
To be honest there are often deals to be had year round, but is the cheapest I've seen for a while at 21% off, about $100 less than last months offer.
Amazon Peloton offers extend across it's range, so if you already have the bike, then check out the clothing and shoes which have up to an additional 40% off over the Prime period which are great bargains to bag.
Echelon EX5-S Smart Indoor Bike: Was $1,499.99, now $799.99 at Amazon
As one of Peloton's strongest rivals, Echelon also offers live and on-demand instructor-led fitness classes as part of its Echelon Fit App - which you get a 30-day free trial for when purchasing the bike ($34.99 a month thereafter).
This is the cheapest model with a 180° Flip Rotation HD Touchscreen and features both manual and motorized resistance. Given that the next model down still costs $1,199.99 at full price, the EX5-S is currently the best value Echelon bike right now and I'd be tempted by the $300 saving over Peloton, even if it's choosing a different landing platform for workouts (I might even prefer it not to be Peloton)!

Echelon Connect Sport-S : Was $799 now $297.00 at Walmart
I think this is a great money saving alternative if you're not quite in the market for a the Echelon EX5-S above. The Echelon Connect Sport-S is a great study alternative. You still get a screen, but it's much smaller and doesn't pivot. Other differences are that you are required to manually adjust the resistance, but you still gain connectivity to the EchelonFit app to help monitor your performance and track progress.
If you want to take part in the live and on-demand classes you will need to take out a membership, $34.99 a month for up to five user profiles.

Dmasun Exercise Bike: Was $399.99, now $199.99 at Amazon
Just like the ubiquitous 'spin bikes', the Dmasun Exercise Bike utilises a large front flywheel to provide a smooth ride feel. The wide range of resistance levels are manually controlled and the bike is claimed to be 'whisper quiet' - which many indoor bikes of this design are.
What stands out most is the price, with a whopping 50% discount currently on so if you're undecided what to opt for when looking at a sea of options, this would be my best bet.View Deal
Yosuda Pro Magnetic Exercise Bike: Was $499.99, now $299.99 at Amazon
The Yosuda indoor bike has a more expensive list price and a smaller discount than the Dmasun - but I think it's worth considering the extra spend, as the Yosuda uses magnetic resistance rather than the (more basic) friction-based felt/wool system of the Dmasun.
The integrated display is also shows more information than that of the Dmasun, so all round you do get a little bit more bang for the extra buck. One to opt for if you've been riding a while and want to start tracking numbers and measuring progress more. View Deal
NordicTrack Commercial S10i Studio Cycle: was $1,499.00, now $999.00 at NordicTrack
This deal hasn't budged since pre Amazon Prime Day, and it's still the best deal on NordicTrack indoor bikes. I say this is another value-oriented competitor to Peloton, but make sure you head off to NordicTrack's own site to bag and not to Amazon.
The $500 off a fully equipped indoor bike associated on-demand workout library ($39 a month after the first month) is pretty good and given that this brand is often what's in busy public gyms, I'm confident it will have a long lifespan in even the toughest of households!View Deal
Merach Indoor Exercise Bike: Was $399.99, now $229.99 at Amazon
The Merach Indoor Bike packs some impressive connectivity for its competitively low list price - even more impressive for the 41% discount that's currently running. So an excellent option for anyone looking for Bluetooth connectivity in order to hook it up to Zwift etc.
The biggest compromise is that the bike doesn't have a power meter, so you'd be riding with estimated values, however, it's a good starter Smart bike and around $2000 cheaper than the all singing all dancing ones! View Deal
Pooboo Bluetooth Magnetic Exercise bike: Was $439.99 Now $229.98 at Walmart
Not as neatly put together as the Merach bike, but function wise they're very similar bikes, but this PooBoo has the bonus of rider weight capacity of 350lbs over compared to the max 280lbs for the Merach.
There are several options of PooBoo, but this looks to offer the most functionality, especially as it's compatable with the likes of BKOOL, Zwift, Strava, Rouvy. But again like the Merach, there's no power meter, so it'll be a guestimate.

I'm a huge fan of airbikes, not because I like them, I actually detest them, but you'll never moan about a bike ride being hard after an interval session on this.
No fancy connectivity, just hop on and smash numbers of either distance, calories, speed watts, pace or RPM.
A great piece of kit for cross training and all home gyms should own one.

It's an oldy but still a goodie, and having ridden, reviewed and written about Peloton over the years, we're still of the conclusion that for a lot of indoor riders it's a great option. Read our feature on is the peloton indoor exercise bike and app worth it to see if its right for you.
This 22% saving is pretty decent, and the lowest we've seen it. If you're brave you might get a better deal come Black Friday in November, but by then everyone will want to be back indoors, so you might be gambling on availability.
This version comes with a built in touch screen, Bluetooth connectivity and a speaker system.
There is a £39 a month membership to add on to the price of the bike, but for that you get household membership, live and on demand classes.View Deal
Echelon EX-5s Smart Connect Exercise Bike: Was £1,649.00, now £1,299.00 at Amazon
This is one of Echelon's more expensive models, but it's currently the one with the largest discount - so here's an opportunity to snap up a few extra features. It has a 21.5" touchscreen, a large 13kg flywheel, SPD pedals and magnetic resistance.
You also get a 45-day free Echelon Premier Membership, giving access to live and on-demand instructor lead classes.
Its still not cheap, but if you've been sitting on the fence for a while, then I'd say now is a good time to jump as this is one of the cheapest prices I've seen. View Deal
NordicTrack Commercial S22i Studio Bike: Was £1999 Now £1699 at Amazon
NordicTrack come highly rated, and while I've not reviewed one personally, I've had a lot of interaction with them at public gyms, which gives me a lot of faith in their longevity.
Coming with an integrated 14" screen, to get the full use of the bike you do need to sign up to a NordicTrack IFit membership plan, which is currently on sale for £349 for the year for a family of five users.
The interactive workouts will auto-control the bike to mimic riding terrain, both resistance and incline. Not as cheap as the Echelon, a decent Peloton bike alternative, but I say one to choose if you know it's going to get a hard life at home.

Dripex Magnetic Exercise Bike: Was £289.99, now £229.99 at Amazon
Essentially a traditional 'spin bike' the Dripex utilises a large front flywheel and magnetic resistance for a smooth riding feel and near silent usage.
It comes with an LCD monitor for displaying your core metrics, but there's also a try for a tablet computer or phone if you prefer.
It's a basic option, and no bells or whistles entertainment wise. If you can stay self motivated and don't want an ongoing subscription cost, then I think you won't be disappointed with this outlay.
Urevo Indoor Exercise Bike: Was £239.99 now £209.99 at Amazon
Another take on a classic spin bike: despite the low cost, you still get a 10kg flywheel - which is pretty standard across most spin bikes and contributes to the smooth ride feel, as well as being near silent.
The display is pretty basic, but there is a try for a tablet.
It's nothing fancy, much like the Dripex, it's a self motivated spin bike. But I really rate the simplicity of shoving a You Tube spin lesson on and plug in some big speakers and feeling smug about a £200 investment, with no worries of on going cost commitments. View Deal
NordicTrack S15i Studio Bike: was £1,999, now £1,299 at NordicTrack
Another value oriented Peloton alternative, Nordic Track has a familiar package in its bike + on demand workout library business model.
Right now, there aren't many good deals to be had to Amazon - that may change as we hit Prime Day proper, but for now, it's Nordic Track's own site that makes the most of your pennies.
Much like we mentioned above on the NordicTrack S22i, to get the most out the bike, you'll have to commit to the NodicTrack membership, but that can work out cost effective if there's more than one user.
It looses a couple of features compaired to the S22i and has a smaller screen, but for the £400 saving I think it's probably worth doing without!

There's a $300 saving on the Original Peloton bike, which comes with a 22" screen. The monthly subscription service of $44 a month gives you unlimited access to live and on demand classes, on and off the bike, allowing you to track and monitor progress. One membership covers the entire household.
Wahoo KICKR Bike Smart Trainer: $3,799.99 $2,279.99 at Competitive Cyclist
When we reviewed the Wahoo KICKR Bike Smart Trainer we awarded it a Cycling Weekly Editor's Choice Award. Why? It offers a realistic ride feel, including gradient simulated by vertical front-end movement, remotely adjusted resistance and bags of interactivity, being easily paired with third party apps such as Zwift.
Stages SB20 smart bike: was $3,149 now $1,799.99 at Backcountry
The Stages bike packs quite a punch. It simulates outdoor riding through the use of electronic shifting, braking and steering along with a 50lb flywheel up to 3,000 watts of resistance. You can train to power thanks to a dual-sided power meter that's accurate to 1.5%, as well as link automatically to third party apps like Zwift.View Deal

This deal comes from another retailer, but it was really too good to pass up. The Stages SC2 Plus was already a great value option with an inbuilt power meter for Zwift connectivity and the ability to adjust for a wide range of heights – perfect for adapting to a whole household. Do take note that this model, like the Stages SB20 exercise bike doesn't automatically adjust the resistance with respect to virtual gradients, you're in control of that.View Deal
Echelon EX-15 Smart Connect Indoor Cycling Bike: was $499.99, now $349.99 at Amazon
The Echelon is one of the direct competitors of Peloton, with is more affordable range of bikes proving very appealing. The EX-15 comes with a 30-day free Echelon Membership (paid subscription thereafter) the brand say you'll have 3,000 live and on-demand classes to choose from, both on and off the bike. There's 32 levels of magnetic resistance, which will should make the bike a quieter option than a regular spin bike, but it's cheapest in the range because it doesn't come with a build in screen.View Deal
Exercise Bike Stationary, Indoor Cycling Bike: $869.54 $197.50 at Amazon
This isn't a brand that we have tried or can even recommend, but this Amazon Prime discount looks so huge we had to include it. This massive 77% discount might be questionable, and we certainly wouldn't recommend it for the original price, but for less than 200 dollars, the bike looks to be a pretty decent option. It claims it's suitable for a bigger range of sizes, from 4'5" to 6'4",and up to 350lbs, making this a good home exercise bike for the whole family.View Deal

Here at Cycling Weekly, we loved the Stages Cycling Smart Indoor bike, judging it to be a robust home trainer with a huge amount of adjustability for even the strongest of riders. Just about everything is adjustable and customisable and the electromagnetic fly wheel can take up to a heady 3,000watts and mimic a 25% incline. It's not an Amazon Prime deal, but this Wiggle offer will take some beating.View Deal
Wahoo KICKR Bike Smart Trainer: was £3,299.99 now £2,199.99 at Sigma Sports
You can currently save a whopping £900 on a Wahoo KICKR Bike Smart Trainer thanks to Sigma Sports. We thought the bike was so good when we had it on test that we gave it a Cycling Weekly Editor's Choice Award. It's probably as immersive as you can get with not only the resistance remotely adjusted, but the tilt of the actual bike too. It's a brilliant ride feel, highly interactive with third party apps, such as Zwift and Trainer Road etc (subject to a subscription), but it does lack a tablet mount. When we tested the Peloton bike it wasn't our favourite, but with the cost of living £39 a month gets the whole household can take advantage and map their own fitness journey, taking live and on demand classes on and off the bike, suddenly making a much more feasible option than gym class alternatives. Crane Exercise bike: was £99.99 now 49.99 at Aldi
Yes it's a very basic exercise bike, but for someone looking to start introducing a gentle exercise plan, this could be enough to get them up and cycling. I've actually got a few Crane items myself, and am more than happy with the durability, finding myself still using equipment and gear several years down the line. It comes with pulse sensors to monitor your ride as you go and a handy table holder to keep you occupied when spinning to win.
