The Best-Dressed Stars at the 2024 Grammys

There was no shortage of fashion star power at the 2024 Grammys thanks to incredible looks on everyone from Coco Jones to Mariah Carey. Then there was Miley Cyrus, who channeled Barbarella with a look only she could pull off so brilliantly. As for the color of the night, that belonged to Joness icy, pale blue gown, which was dreamy and effervescent.

But ask Glamour editors, and everyone has a different opinion for who gets their “best-dressed of the night.” That’s the beauty of the Grammys, where anything goes, and often works. So whose looks will we still be talking about tomorrow and the next day? See below for our best dressed picks of the night.

Tyla

Feels like a nod to great Grammy dresses of the past like the famous J.Lo green one but still fresh and worthy of one of the biggest breakout music stars this year. —Samantha Barry, editor in chief

Miley Cyrus

I’m sorry, but Miley Cyrus was the moment at the Grammys. Not only did she win her first two awards, but she killed it in this sheer chain gladiator style dress (Does it count as a dress? Who cares), complemented by huge curls. It’s giving the iconic Pepsi Super Bowl commercial in the best way, and I love how she just goes for it. —Stephanie McNeal, senior editor

Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey’s red-carpet looks never disappoint, and her 2024 Grammys ensemble was no different. Del Rey rocked a sheer, floral puff-sleeved 1960s-inspired dress and matching sheer gloves and pumps complete with bows, giving “coquette, but make it Wednesday Addams” vibes. Meanwhile her beehive bangs, blowout, and romantic glam were reminiscent of Brigitte Bardot meets Jackie Kennedy. Halle Bailey

The category was nude, and she nailed it. I’m always amazed at how she’s able to transform her locs, and her wavy hair tonight was no different. Chloe Bailey

Coco Jones

Elegance with an edge, thanks to this shimmery, body-hugging pale blue gown with an open bodice by designer Celia Kritharioti, is why Coco Jones is my best dressed of the night. Dua Lipa

Lipa is the queen of effortlessly cool dressing, and this custom Courreges gown is a prime example. It’s a little bit disco (a nod to her nominated song “Dance the Night”) and little bit rock ’n’ roll. I love how the dress hangs loosely on her frame, as well as the peekaboo cutouts at the hips, which are subtle yet super sexy. Mariah Carey

You can’t talk about the 2024 Grammys without mentioning Mariah Carey. That sparkling gold gown was luminescent on the iconic singer and fit her like a glove. My only disappointment is that she didn’t walk the red carpet; that gown—and the woman in it—deserved every flashbulb on it. —J.R.

Boygenius

The boys were in fine form in their matching white Thom Browne suits. The defining element of the coordinating ensembles was the pink carnations on each of their lapels—a reference to the lyrics for “We’re in Love,” which Lucy Dacus wrote as a love letter to bandmates Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker.

“In the next one, will you find me? / I’ll be the boy with the pink carnation / Pinned to my lapel, who looks like hell and asks for help / And if you do, I’ll know it’s you."
