If the 2024 awards season is any indication, bobs will continue to be one of the trendiest haircuts this year. The versatile style has been spotted on every red carpet, and our favorite celebrities have all approached the chic haircut differently. For example, Jennifer Aniston opted for a shoulder-length lob at the SAG Awards, while Zendaya went for a jawline-skimming bob at the Oscars. There were also modern, playful takes on the classic style—like Ayo Edebiri's flippy bob at the Golden Globes.

With there being so many stunning examples of the short hairdo on the red carpet, we decided to round up the 10 best celebrity bobs below. Keep scrolling to see the most noteworthy bobs of the 2024 awards season.

Emma Stone appeared on the Golden Globes red carpet wearing a blunter-than-usual bob, which fittingly was inspired by her Poor Things character. Stone worked with her go-to hair stylist, Mara Roszak, whom she's been collaborating with for 15 years. Roszak freshened up her haircut with a trim, then styled the ends in a retro, flipped-out fashion using products from her line, Roz, like the Root Spray ($42).

Cailee Spaeny

Rising star Cailee Spaeny debuted a chic side-parted bob for her big night at the Golden Globes. The nominee for Best Performance by a Female in a Motion Picture – Drama (for her leading role in Priscilla) paid homage to her character with an ultra-short look. Instead of flipping the edges out, hairstylist Kiley Fitzgerald (using all Kristin Ess products) shaped the bends inward. As a finishing touch, a few strategically placed flyaways added a dash of drama.

Ayo Edebiri

Golden Globe winner Ayo Edebiri debuted a super-short bob of her own. Her sleek middle-part take was styled by Miles Jeffries using all Maui Moisture products. Ahead of blow drying, he prepped her damp hair with two key products: Frizz-Free Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Mist ($10) and Flexible Hold + Coconut Milk Curl Foam Mousse ($10). Then, to achieve the stick-straight look, he smoothed Edebiri's hair with a flat iron before going in with a curling iron to create the ever-so-slightly flipped-out ends.

Leave it to Jennifer Aniston to flawlessly reinvent her iconic '90s "Rachel'' bob. For the 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards, she ditched the short, choppy layers for a sleeker, shoulder-length look. The updated style is simple, but the messy side part and face-framing layers give it an edge.

Taraji P. Henson is no stranger to dramatic, glamorous hairstyles. This sleek yet voluminous look is one shining example. The super slick side part and flared ends make this a red carpet look to remember.

Sydney Sweeney

Sydney Sweeney traded her usual long blond hair for a loose, wavy "bronde" bob at the Oscars Vanity Fair Party. She worked with celebrity hairstylist Glen Oropeza, and he used all Kérastase products and Kristin Ess tools for the look. The trick is to use a blow-dry brush to first curl the hair underneath itself at the ends, then use the Kristin Ess 1.25-inch Curling Iron ($65) like a round brush to curl the ends under to lock in the soft bounce. The pro finished with Volume In Powder Texturizing Spray ($36) and Laque Extreme Hair Spray ($36) to hold the volume.

Danielle Brooks

Danielle Brooks' Oscars bob exuded old Hollywood glamour, thanks to the long, full layers and the deep, fluffy side part. To achieve this elegant look, blow-dry the hair with a large barrel natural bristle brush and then pin sections while they cool in place. Once you take the pinned sections down, lightly brush the hair and spray it with hairspray for an all-night hold.

Florence Pugh

Florence Pugh's tousled bob is effortlessly elegant. Virtue creative director and celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel is the man behind the hair. He drew inspiration from Madonna's hair looks in the 1990s. For the final look, Abergel used Virtue Volumizing Mousse and Texturizing Spray ($40) and heat-styled with the Kristin Ess Ionic Professional Blow Dryer ($65), Ceramic 1¼-Inch Curling Iron ($60), and Soft Bend Titanium 2-Inch Curling Iron ($61).

Zendaya

Zendaya can pull off any hairstyle, but we're especially obsessed with her bob looks. For the Oscars, celebrity hairstylist Tai Simon created a glam, free-flowing style. To get the look, Simon used all Joico products (like the K-Pak Color Therapy Luster Lock Glossing Oil, $27, and Flip Turn Volumizing Finishing Spray, $23) and T3 Volumizing Hot Rollers ($139).

America Ferrera

Best Supporting Actress nominee America Ferrera gave the classic bob the modern treatment at the Oscars this year. Ferrera's hairstylist, Aviva Perea, tapped all Briogeo products to prep her hair—including the Superfoods Avocado + Kiwi Moisture Leave-In Conditioner ($25)—and then used a suite of Dyson tools (like the Airwrap's Round Volumizing Brush, $40) to style her hair. The result: a lived-in, touchable look that works on and off the carpet.
