Boarding schools are more than just pretty campuses; they're some of the best places to go to school in the country. On a recently released list of the top private high schools in America, the top five were all schools that include a residential element (four also allow day students).

Niche, a company that specializes in data on educational institutions, just compiled its latest ranking of the best boarding schools nationwide. Using data sourced from the U.S. Department of Education, Niche users, and the schools directly, Niche considered categories including SAT/ACT scores, college data, student-teacher ratio, and more.

Here are the top 25 boarding schools on its list:
