While last year's beauty landscape was all about '90s supermodel glam (think: Pamela Anderson buns and fluffy blowouts), we saw fairly muted makeup and manicures. So this year, it's only natural that the maximalist renaissance—which began to lay seeds in late 2023—will continue in full force this awards season to balance the scales.

So tonight, we'll have our eyes peeled for over-the-top (or antithetical) takes on Barbiecore (Margot Robbie is nominated for her titular role), unexpected twists on the bow trend, and messy, maximalist beauty looks galore. We'll be curating our personal favorites all night long—and with stars like Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone, Greta Lee, and Selena Gomez expected to attend, tonight's red carpet is sure to set the tone for the rest of awards season. Full fringe and bright red lips have become synonymous with Taylor Swift. And while the star is still going strong in the bangs department, she's opted for a more subdued shade of mauve for the lips. But hair and makeup aside, her bejeweled manicure was the sneaky showstopper of the evening.

Ariana Greenblatt

Ariana Greenblatt's smoky eye (emphasis on that lower lashline) and pinky nude lips are a lesson in '90s supermodel makeup—but that chunky French manicure is definitely our next nail look.

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez's highly-anticipated arrival at tonight's Golden Globes is no disappointment. The Only Murders In the Building actress is putting her own twist on the ballet bun with a look by Marissa Marino using Living Proof and Dyson products. She paired the bun with a jet-black manicure (for inquiring minds, the polish is Essie's Licorice) and a full face of Rare Beauty.

Quinta Brunson

Quinta Brunson is going monochromatic with a muted mauve look by celebrity makeup artist Kasha Lassien. Brunson's blush, shadow, and glossy lids are all Danessa Myricks Beauty—including the viral Yummy Skin collection and Dewy Lip & Cheek Palette. For hair, she's opted for glossy, cascading waves tucked behind the ears.

Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston debuted a slightly shorter hairstyle at this year's Golden Globes, opting for a perfectly-undone lob just past her collarbone.

Lily Gladstone

Golden Globe nominee Lily Gladstone's renaissance-inspired braided bun was crafted by celebrity stylist  Marc Mena, who used Better Not Younger's Full Transparency Revitalizing Shampoo and Conditioner, Lift Me Up Hair Thickener and No Remorse Heat Protection & Taming Spray to prep Gladstone's hair. Great Lengths hair extensions were used to craft the perfect voluminous top knot.

Margot Robbie

Margot Robbie's Barbie era is still going strong. Tonight, the star of the film that defined the summer has paired soft eyes and baby pink lips (by her longtime makeup artist Pati Dubroff) with a hot pink gown worthy of the dream house. Dubroff says of the makeup: "I applied Chanel's 31 Le Rouge Satin Lipstick in Rouge Beige to give a glowing, beige base to the lips. Then, I applied Les Beiges Healthy Glow Lip Balm in Light in the center of the lips for the slightest healthy pink flush. Applying two shades of lip color adds both dimension and additional color." Meanwhile, her perfectly undone hair was styled by Jacob Schwartz using Olaplex products, exclusively (including the cult-favorite Nº.8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask).

Jennifer Lawrence

No Hard Feelings star and Golden Globe nominee Jennifer Lawrence has been in her quiet luxury era as of late, and she's still going strong with the aesthetic. For tonight's awards, Lawrence is wearing her hair smooth and side-swept—it's classic Old Hollywood glamour at its finest.

Jeannie Mai Jenkins

Jeannie Mai Jenkins is walking the red carpet in wispy, gossamer lashes paired with the perfect pinky nude lip.

Emma Stone

Poor Things actress and Golden Globe nominee Emma Stone was one of a few celebrities to join the flippy bob club tonight, and paired the style with voluminous lashes that we don't typically see on the star. To get her dewy, lit-from-within look, celebrity makeup artist Rachel Goodwin used Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Water Cream and Lightgasm Palette.

Greta Lee

Sandra Hüller

Anatomy of a Fall star Sandra Hüller is nominated in the Drama category this evening and is fittingly wearing a bold beauty look. Hüller is wearing a saturated red lip that contrasts beautifully with her bright green gown, topping the look with a side-parted updo.

Erika Alexander

Erika Alexander is bringing some color to the otherwise beige Golden Globes backdrop. Tonight, the actress and writer is pairing a shimmery pink makeup look with a multi-colored, sculptural updo.

America Ferrera

America Ferrera is walking the Golden Globes red carpet with a trendy jaw-length bob styled by Aviva Jansen Perea. Perea prepped the hair using a range of Briogeo products, and styled the look with the Dyson Corrale.

Cailee Spaeny

Priscilla star Cailee Spaeny's Golden Globes look proves we definitely didn't leave the bob trend behind in 2023. Allison Williams has opted for an elegant look, updating a timeless updo with a trendy bow detail and ethereal body highlight on the shoulders and collarbone.

Jennifer Lopez never misses, but tonight's soft pink lips and over-directed part solidify her place as one of our favorite looks of the night. Hunter Schafer

Following the pink theme of the night, Hunter Hunter Schafer looks fresh and angelic in a soft wash of baby pink blush and lipstick. Rosamund Pike

Behind that intricate black veil, Saltburn star Rosamund Pike is wearing drapey pink blush diffused from the apples of her cheeks and into her brow bone. Pike's makeup artist Melanie Inglessis used Dior Beauty's Rosy Glow Blush in shade 001 to achieve the look.

Greta Gerwig

Greta Gerwig paid homage to the year's biggest beauty trend—lots o' blush and juicy, luminous skin—courtesy of celebrity makeup artist Molly R. Stern, Le Domaine Skincare, and Pat McGrath Labs. "I wanted Greta’s look to feel super modern with quenched, radiant skin," says Stern of the makeup look. She prepped the skin with Le Domaine's The Serum and The Fluid Cream (and massaged it in with Jillian Dempsey's Gold Bar—a Byrdie favorite!). Stern layered Pat McGrath Labs Divine Blush Legendary Glow Colour Balm in Peach Lotus with Desert Orchid and Divine Rose to get a super dimensional, rosy flush.
