All the Best Beauty Looks From the 2023 Golden Globes

The stars went off this year.

It's been a while since one of the biggest nights in TV and film has aired. But, the 2023 Golden Globes are back in full force — and so is the red carpet glam. From Sheryl Lee Ralph's monochromatic purple eyes to Zuri Hall's blunt bob, we couldn't get enough of all the epic hair and beauty looks we've seen tonight.

And with the award show red carpets typically dictating the year's top trends, it's looking like 2023 will be one to remember. So, without further ado, here are all the best beauty looks from the Golden Globes — from neutral, subtle glam to the unexpected.

Laverne Cox

The gorgeous Laverne Cox traded in her signature long, golden locks for a curly bob and Old Hollywood glam. She finished the look with a deep side part, smoky eyes, and a juicy red lip.

Zuri Hall

TV personality Zuri Hall also opted for a bob tonight — but decided to go blunt with her cut. Fringe rounded out the look, perfectly framing her face. And while she went with a subtle eye look, her wine-stained lips stole the show.

Sheryl Lee Ralph and Ivy Coco Maurice

Sheryl Lee Ralph and her daughter Ivy Coco Maurice both wore monochrome makeup that matched perfectly with their gowns. Ralph worked with makeup artist Mila Thomas to create a sultry, purple eye look, paired with a glossy nude lip. Hairstylist Moira Frazier finished off the look by giving the Emmy award-winning star's hair a long, sleek finish. As for Maurice, she opted for a similar makeup look, but in gold, along with cascading curls.

Liza Koshy

Social media personality and actress Liza Koshy went with a slicked-back style, piecey side bangs, and dewy skin. She rounded out the look with fluttery lashes and a glossy lip.

Mo Brings Plenty

Yellowstone actor Mo Brings Plenty brought Indigenous American beauty to the 2023 Golden Globes red carpet. He finished his look with a black cowboy hat that matched with his tailored suit perfectly.

Kaley Cuoco

Brunette Kaley Cuoco worked with celebrity hairstylist Christine Symonds to create this gorgeous updo with face-framing fringe and tendrils. But before the final look, Symonds used the Clairol Professional Shimmer Lights line to prep the star's hair. As for makeup, celebrity makeup artist Jamie Greenberg used Tweezerman tools to for Cuoco's brows and lashes. The MUA followed up with neutral glam.

Dolly de Leon

Dolly de Leon is nominated in the Best Supporting Actress - Motion Picture category for her role in Triangle of Sadness, but the star looked like anything but on tonight's red carpet. The gorgeous actress opted for a shimmery smoky eye, a nude lip, and slicked-back hair.

Quinta Brunson

Abbott Elementary star Quinta Brunson worked with hairstylist Alexander Armand to create this sleek ponytail, using products from Hairstory and the Dyson Corrale straightener to smooth out her curls. For the most part, Brunson kept her makeup neutral, with makeup artist Renée Loiz using Beautyblender’s Bounce Always On Radiant Skin Tint, but the star still opted for a subtle smoky eye.

Jenna Ortega

Wednesday star Jenna Ortega opted for a shaggy lob, created by hairstylist David Stanwell, using products from Fekkai. For makeup, the actress decided on a bold eye, complete with a double wing liner and long, thick lashes, created by makeup artist Vincent Oquendo.

Liza Colón-Zayas

Actress Liza Colón-Zayas chose natural curls and subtle glam tonight, proving that sometimes, less is more. Simply gorgeous.

Domee Shi

Animator Domee Shi is clearly loving the Barbiecore trend. The talent went with a monochrome look, complete with pink eyeshadow, rosy cheeks, and a bright pink lip to match her ensemble.

Molly Sims

Molly Sims was simply gorgeous in a slicked-back twisted bun created by hairstylist Emily Hedicke. Makeup artist Joey Maalouf followed up with a soft pink smoky eye, glowing cheeks, and a pearly lip.

Monica Ahanonu

Illustrator and model Monica Ahanonu made her 2023 Golden Globes red carpet look all about the eyes. But when you're this gorgeous, you really don't need to do much else.

Jenny Slate

Actress and comedian Jenny Slate opted for a wavy updo with side tendrils this year. For her glam, she kept things simple with neutral eyes and a subtle pink lip.

Julia Garner

Hairstylist Bobby Eliot used René Furterer products on Julia Garner to create this sleek look with piecey bangs. "The inspiration for Julia’s Golden Globe Awards look was her baby pink Gucci gown," he shared in a statement. "The dress is like a breath of fresh air, and we wanted the hair to feel easy and modern to compliment it." As for makeup, Garner opted for a simple winged liner and a velvety pink lip.

Salma Hayek

Makeup artist Mary Philips used products from Charlotte Tilbury, namely Cheek to Chic in Love Glow, to create Hayek's dreamy look. “The inspiration tonight was luminosity – with a hint of rose,” she shared in a statement. As for hair, the star went with a flowy updo with wavy tendrils.

Jamie Lee Curtis

Celebrity makeup artist, Grace Ahn used Anastasia Beverly Hills products to create Curtis's sultry glam, namely the Nouevau, Soft Glam, and Soft Glam 2 palettes to smoke out her eyes. For hair, the veteran actress opted for her signature pixie cut.

Viola Davis

Viola Davis is one star who is never afraid to play with color. Aside from her gorgeous, voluminous curls, the star went with a colorful pink eyeshadow, paired with a green liner on her lower lid. She rounded out the look with a pink, glossy lip.

Margot Robbie

Margot Robbie took monochrome makeup to the next level. First, makeup artist Pati Dubroff prepped the star's skin using IMAGE skincare, then followed up with a pale pink eye, rosy cheeks, and a light red matte lip. For the star's body, the MUA used ALLEVEN Colour Shield in Pearl on her arms, shoulders, and back to keep the glow going. When it came to hair, celebrity hairstylist Bryce Scarlett used KMS THERMASHAPE Quick Blow Dry Spray and ADDPOWER Thickening Spray for prep, then followed with tools from Varis to create the softly waved style.

Janelle James

Actress and comedian Janelle James opted for silvery blue lids and a nude lip, which paired perfectly with her softly curled, shoulder-length hair.

Michaela Jaé Rodriguez

One thing about Michaela Jaé Rodriguez on a red carpet? She will be glowing. The star's skin was prepped with Solawave, then makeup artist Etienne Ortega used products from Charlotte Tilbury, including the new Hollywood Glow Glide Face Architect Highlighter in Sunset Glow, to give the actress a dewy finish.

Letitia Wright

Celebrity makeup artist Grace Pae used CurrentBody's LED Eye Perfector to prep the Black Panther star's skin for the red carpet. "It helped firm and plump up the eye area, which also helped diminish under-eye bags and darkness," she said of the tool. "This quick step helps out so much even before the skin-care prep or makeup application.” She followed up with a lightly smoked out eye and a glossy nude lip. For hair, Wright went with her signature low fade. Simply stunning.

Sigourney Weaver

Much like Wright, celebrity makeup artist Brigitte Reiss-Anderson also used theCurrentBody Skin LED Eye Perfector on Sigourney Weaver to prep her skin before applying makeup. Next she applied a bright red lip, eyeliner to the top lid, along with some mascara. The star rounded out the look with soft waves.

Jessica Chastin

Celebrity hairstylist Renato Campora used Hair Rituel by Sisley-Paris products and brushes to style Jessica Chastian ginger locks into a sleek bun. The glam was kept soft and neutral, with makeup artist Kristofer Buckle using products from Charlotte Tilbury. “We went for a clean Grace Kelly-inspired glam," he shared in a statement. I used a deep, red-brown shadow along her upper lash line to emphasize her green eyes and extended as you would a winged liner. Lots of Pillow Talk Push-Up Lashes Mascara and Pillow Talk Lipstick tapped lightly on the lips for a soft, natural look."

Michelle Yeoh

Celebrity hairstylist Robert Vetica created Michelle Yeoh's sleek hair using the No Remorse Heat Protection & Taming Spray, followed by the Dyson Corrale straightener. As for makeup, the queen kept things neutral with lots of mascara and a simple glossy pink lip. Gorgeous.

Claire Danes

Celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak used RŌZ's Santa Lucia Styling Oil to create the sleek, asymmetrical bob. “I wanted a contrast with Claire’s Giambattista Valli dress that balanced the softness and sweet look of it.” Roszak shared in a statement. Celebrity facial masseur Lord Gavin McLeod-Valentine prepped the star's skin using products from Augustinus Bader, then celebrity makeup artist Jo Strettell followed up with Sisley-Paris cosmetics to create some gorgeous soft glam.

Selena Gomez

Hairstylist Marissa Marino used René Furterer products along with Olivia Garden's Titanium + Ion 1.25’ Curling Iron on Selena Gomez to create this cute half-up, half-down look. Celebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo prepped the star's skin with OLEHENRIKSEN skincare products, then followed up with soft pink lids and lips.

Billy Porter

Billy Porter + braids = automatic win. The star's cornrows, alongside his salt-and-pepper beard truly stole the show.

Natasha Lyonne

Celebrity facialist Joanna Vargas prepped Natasha Lyonne's glowing skin for the red carpet, then makeup artist  Robert Rumsey, used Urban Decay products to create this stunning smoky eye and neutral glam. As for hair, the actress worked with Vernon François to create a choppy half-up, half-down look — but not in the way you'd expect.

Angela Bassett

Gotta save the best for last, right? Queen of everything Angela Bassett looked simply sensational. Old Hollywood glam-inspired soft curls, and pretty pink makeup with fluttery lashes was all she needed to make our jaws drop.

Emma D'Arcy

House of the Dragon star, Emma D’Arcy, rocked an out-of-the-box makeup look that featured a strong and chic crying eye. " Looking at New Romantics and Punk references to meander through the look with the pearlescent skin and softness to counter effect the punk, worn-in eye makeup and having accents of the blues for the literal sense of the tears and the gloss effect," said Shiseido makeup artist Holly Silius of Emma's look. All that's missing is a Negroni Sbagliato.
