Best Actor Nominee Daniel Kaluuya Wore Fenty Foundation on His Glorious Face at the Oscars

Best actor nominee Daniel Kaluuya's flawless face at the Oscars is thanks to Fenty Foundation, according to Fenty Beauty's Instagram and makeup artist Amber Amos.

Everyone knows that the Oscars red carpet is an arena for celebrities to look their absolute most glamorous. If my inbox on Sunday night was any indication of the dozens of press releases carefully detailing every celebrity's look down to the bobby pin, beauty is a big deal for this event. What is a bit odd though is that rarely do I see any beauty breakdowns for the dude stars attending the event. Occasionally there's a skin-care brand or aesthetician touting that they were on deck for handsome leading man #1's grooming, but otherwise you just do not hear about these dudes wearing makeup even though, judging by the Getty galleries of them with nary a shiny forehead in sight — I know your forehead has at least been dusted with some setting powder, bro.

And then, a gift from the Instagram gods came from Fenty Beauty's account, detailing the best actor nominee (for Get Out, and he was robbed. ROBBED), Black Panther star, and all-around snack, Daniel Kaluuya wearing Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation: "Who said men don’t use #FENTYBEAUTY?!😏 "

Makeup artist Amber Amos used shades 480 and 490 in the Fenty foundation and Kaluyya was glowing — glowing. I mean, we've all seen the gorgeous Pro'filtr effect, but perhaps it was the actor's awards show energy that gave him that extra bit of je ne sais quoi.

Naturally, as soon as this posted, Allure editors shared it in our secret Allure group chat, as one does. Digital editor Jihan Forbes's reaction: "I'm in tears thinking about that rich skin being slathered in Fenty. What a time to be alive." Everyone else, in agreement, was a series of shocked and awwed emoji faces: 😭😭😱😵

Now, though, I have countless follow-up questions: What did Amos use to apply the foundation? Was there primer or setting spray involved? Did Amos do that thing that makeup artists do that I love, which is massaging moisturizer into the face before applying complexion makeup, meaning that Amos got to caress Daniel's beautiful man-face? Daniel, how does your skin look so beautiful? Don't you dare say you just "drink lots of water" because I will not have it. I must know your skin-care secrets.

Please tell me. Please.
