Berks Encore receives $300,000 grant from foundation
May 16—The Neag Foundation has awarded Berks Encore with a $300,000 grant over the next three years to support health and wellness programs for older adults.
LuAnn Oatman, CEO and president of Berks Encore, said the organization is grateful to have the generous support of the Neag Foundation. She said the funding will allow the nonprofit to continue to provide programs that promote lifestyle strategies to overcome the challenges of aging and managing chronic conditions.
"Our goal is to help older adults function at optimum health and wellness to lead fulfilling, active and independent lives," she said.
The mission of the Neag Foundation is to provide grants that improve and enhance communities, and make a positive impact to help people live happier, healthier and more productive lives.
