Ben Stiller's 16-year-old daughter, Ella, isn't a stranger to the red carpet, but for tonight's Golden Globes ceremony, good ol' dad gave her a true Hollywood experience from start to finish. According to People, Ella was raving about how happy she was that her father's directorial project, Escape at Dannemora, was nominated for two awards.

"It's exciting," she told People. "I'm proud, I'm so proud of him!"

In addition to walking the red carpet together and attending the ceremony, the Stillers got ready at the Chateau Marmont, the infamous L.A. hotel that's played host to fashion shows, apparent murders, and high-watt events. From the full-on glam squad, the two made it to the event to take in the flashbulbs, reporters, and rubbing shoulders with the other attendees. She took it all in while wearing an ultra-glam strapless J. Mendel gown and a full suite of sparkling jewelry. The two appeared to be all smiles posing for the cameras at tonight's show.

"We were at the Chateau and my two best friends in the world came with," Ella said of the process. "We spent time with family and friends. It was really fun! Blasting music!" She also told InStyle that her mother was there and Ben confirmed, saying that there was plenty of positivity all around: "It was great! Lots of love."

As for his own prep, Stiller was a little more glib. "I pick avocados every night and put them on my face...just kidding," he said of his own pre-show process. "I don’t know what I was going to say. I wash my face, I do! I wash my face! Someone once told me about warm water and cold water, open the pores and close them. I don’t know if it’s working but I’ve been doing it for 10 years."

Ella's becoming a regular fixture on the scene. People adds that the two have been attending events together since last fall. Ella accompanied her dad to the premiere of Free Solo, a rock-climbing documentary at New York City's Lincoln Center; a screening of First Man; and the premiere of Wildlife. Before that flurry of father-daughter time, Stiller and his ex, Christine Taylor, would bring Ella along events such as premieres and the U.S. Open.

Tonight is the biggest event for the father and daughter. Not only is it a huge awards show, Stiller's Showtime limited series, Escape at Dannemora, is nominated for Best Television Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television and its star, Patricia Arquette, is up for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television.

"I thought it was a fascinating story and unbelievable that a prison escape like this could happen in this day and age," Stiller told People of the show. "It just seemed like it would be a great long-form story."
