Ben & Jerry’s is laying out the company’s beliefs in the best way they know how - by creating an ice cream flavor about it. Pecan Resist packs a lot of flavor and one loud and clear message.

The new flavor consists of chocolate ice cream with white and dark fudge chunks, along with pecans, walnuts, and fudge-covered almonds. The design was created by artist Favianna Rodriquez, who confirmed that it’s a limited-batch ice cream.

“Today we launch Pecan Resist!” Ben & Jerry’s captioned their Facebook post. “This flavor supports groups creating a more just and equitable nation for us all, and who are fighting President Trump’s regressive agenda.

“We cannot be silent in the face of the President’s policies that attack and attempt to roll back decades of progress on racial and gender equity, climate change, LGBTQ rights, and refugee and immigrant rights - all issues that have been at the core of our social mission for 40 years.”

When you go to the Ben & Jerry’s homepage, the new flavor announcement pops up along with a “Join The Resistance” and “Find Your Polling Place” click options.

This isn’t a surprising move for Ben & Jerry’s. When President Trump was elected, the company released a “Dear President-Elect Trump” letter that read, “We will continue to be strong advocates for racial and social justice, LGBTQ rights, gender equality, respect for religious differences, and opportunity for all. We stand with women, people of color, Muslims, migrants, refugees, the LGBTQ community, the poor, and others whose lives may be further compromised by the policies and rhetoric you espoused during your campaign.”
