Ben & Jerry's Is Attempting to Reinvent Perfection with Its New Ice Cream Taco

Ben & Jerry's is an unimpeachably stellar company most people generally love—they make ceral ice cream, after all, and their company culture is, famously, one of the best out there. The brand's latest creation, however—a taco-shaped ice cream product called the 'chill-aco' to be served on 4/20—is a total sham. Ben, Jerry, listen up dudes: ice cream tacos already exist. They're called Choco Tacos and they've existed in some form since 1984. As a dedicated fan, I believe you cannot improve upon the Choco Taco. It's the platonic ideal of itself.
Also, let's not gloss over the fact that the Ben & Jerry's description sounds like it was written by ad execs playing with stoner-y buzzwords, but the Choco Taco description sounds like it was written by actual stoners?
The Ben & Jerry's website says, "It’s a taco…it’s a burrito…it’s a waffle cone…it’s ice cream, cookie crumbles, caramel, and fudge drizzles—and it can be in your hands starting 4-20! But it’s only chilling out in Scoop Shops for a limited time, so get yours before this taco-tastic concoction goes up in a puff of smoke!"
The Klondike website says, "We recommend biting into one of these creamy, crunchy south-of-the-border inspired novelties while wearing your favorite sombrero — no hot sauce needed. Also, major props to Mexico for inventing the taco."

It's not just that Choco Tacos have the taco-ice cream niche cornered, but also that they're already the perfect stoner snack. At just 230 calories per Choco Taco, you can have one (or three) all to yourself when the munchies hit without feeling like a total glutton, but it's still an indulgence, because, chocolate and ice cream.
Then again, as they say, all cats look the same in the dark. Maybe all sweet creamy treats are equally delicious on 4/20.
