Ben Higgins on 'Golden Bachelor' Gerry Turner's 'Love' Mess

The drama is palpable on The Golden Bachelor, as lead Gerry Turner finds himself falling in love with not one, not two but three different women—and The Bachelor alum Ben Higgins can definitely relate.

In Season 20 of The Bachelor, Higgens infamously told JoJo Fletcher and Lauren Bushnell that he loved them. He ultimately proposed to Bushnell, but the couple split in May 2017,

The inaugural season of The Golden Bachelor similarly finds Turner, 72, falling for Theresa, 70, Faith, 61, and Leslie, 64. As viewers learned in the Nov. 2 episode, Gerry drops the "L" word to all three women.

Higgins couldn't help but chime in on Turner's debacle, taking to X to share his response to a viewer calling him out.

An X user wrote, "Uh oh. Gerry pulled a Ben Higgins."

To that, Higgins light-heartedly defended himself (and Gerry), replying, "He is an Indiana boy...those Indiana boys have a lot of love to give."

Higgins wasn't the only one to acknowledge that Turner was following in his footsteps.

"You didn’t have the talk with him, Ben? lol," one viewer commented.

In a separate tweet, another viewer wrote, "Gerry…. You should have watched Ben Higgins season… this does not end wellllllll," along with a GIF of a train derailment.

Another person lamented, "GERRY NO, DON'T TELL TWO WOMEN YOU LOVE THEM GERRY. GERRY!!! LEARN FROM BEN HIGGINS!!!" The sentiment fittingly accompanied a Breaking Bad scene of Walt screaming in a car.

With just a few more weeks left until Turner hands out the final rose on Nov. 30, it will be interesting to see how the rest of The Golden Bachelor Season 1 plays out.
