From peel-and-stick wallpaper to candles, it keeps getting easier for Home Town fans to add that Ben-and-Erin-Napier touch to their homes.

Last week, the busy couple announced their foray into the countertop market, adding shippable, custom hardwood countertops to their inventories at Laurel Mercantile and Scotsman Co.

Erin shared the big news on Instagram Friday, revealing that this latest project has been in the works for more than a decade—since she and Ben renovated their own kitchen “way back” in 2011.

“We drove 6 hours to buy affordable solid maple butcher block slabs for the countertops. And we loved them,” Erin recalled. “And so Ben started making them himself with clamps and glue in the first woodshop from seasons 1-2. And then we bought a shuttered factory that had been hit by a tornado and turned it into a state of the art butcher block manufacturing facility.”

Erin went on to share that at scotsmanusa.com and laurelmercantile.com, you can now shop for custom countertops, island tops, and stock-size slabs in 10 hardwood species and two finishes handmade by Ben and his crew in Laurel, Mississippi.

“So what I’m saying is: you don’t have to drive 6 hours,” Erin concluded. “We will make your countertops just for you then ship them to you.”

The standard countertops start at around $300 and increase depending on customization.
