Ben Affleck Views J.Lo as the “One That Got Away” and Is “Determined” Not to Let It Happen Again
Hot off the heels of Ben Affleck getting photographed shopping for engagement rings at Tiffany & Co., a source is out here telling Us Weekly that he and Jennifer Lopez have been “seriously talking about getting married.”
“They are both madly in love and don’t want to let one another go this time,” the source says, noting that Ben sees J.Lo as the “one that got away” and is “determined to make sure that doesn’t happen this time.”
Oh, and the source adds that Jen would say yes if Ben asked because he’s “matured into the man of her dreams.”
Again, Ben Affleck was literally just seen browsing engagement rings at Tiffany & Co., with both his mom and son accompanying him…so…looks like an engagement could be coming sooner than expected? And this wouldn’t be the first time. Ben proposed to J.Lo back in November 2002 with a pink diamond ring worth $2.5 million.
They ended up calling off their engagement a few days before their wedding in September 2003, releasing the following joint statement:
“Due to the excessive media attention surrounding our wedding, we have decided to postpone the date. When we found ourselves seriously contemplating hiring three separate ‘decoy brides’ at three different locations, we realized that something was awry. We began to feel that the spirit of what should have been the happiest day of our lives could be compromised. We felt what should have been a joyful and sacred day could be spoiled for us, our families, and our friends.”
A few months later, they confirmed their breakup, with J.Lo’s rep saying in a statement, “I am confirming the report that Jennifer Lopez has ended her engagement to Ben Affleck. At this difficult time, we ask that you respect her privacy.”
