We sincerely hope Ben Affleck’s next Academy Award is for his series of Dunkin’ commercials.

The actor and Dunkin’ iced coffee fanatic is the star of yet another ad for the doughnut chain, in which he reacts to his viral moment at last year’s Oscars—which produced plenty of memes—and makes hilarious references to wife Jennifer Lopez.

The clip starts off with Affleck watching a news segment critiquing his facial expression at the 2023 Oscars, saying he looked bored. “‘He’s bored.' No, studying, always watching,” he jokes.

He later calls wife J.Lo to tell her about a dream he had, in which he becomes a pop star and is featured in her album, “This Is Me… Now,” only to quickly realize she’s much too famous and busy to give him the time of day.

“Hey baby, I had this crazy dream, you’re gonna laugh. I had come up with some beats and you were like, ‘Maybe you should put that on the record!’ I even had like a persona, like J.Lo or like B.Lo. That’s the bad version, obviously,” he says excitedly on the phone while wearing a Dunkin' tee and carrying a box of donuts.

“Do you have any time today?” he then asks the singer, reacting disappointedly when she seemingly says no. “I understand” he responds before going into a pensive state and then building up the courage to follow his pop-stardom dream on his own.

“They tell you you’re no good, you’re a goofy middle-aged clumsy white guy with no rhythm and you can’t sing on key. You’re not coordinated. That means I can’t be a pop star?” he says in his gloomy pre-glow-up monologue. “Underestimate Boston—at your peril.”

In a wildly funny montage, we then see scenes of Affleck trying to make music and learn TikTok dances with the help of influencer Charli D'Amelio. He wears a big bling chain featuring a Dunkin’ Donuts chocolate donut with colorful sprinkles as the charm. He brainstorms an extravagant red carpet outfit—“this, or too subtle?” he says while showing D'Amelio a sketch.

Finally, he ends on a high note, pushed to new heights, presumably, by his caffeinated Dunkin' coffee. “This is Me Now” he says, making a clear nod to his wife's upcoming album and film about their love story.

J.Lo supported her man by sharing the video on her Instagram, simply adding a chocolate sprinkle donut emoji in the post caption. Too good.
