Ben Affleck & Jennifer Garner's Behavior at Their Son's Event Show They're At the Top of Their Co-Parenting Game

Co-parenting doesn’t have to be miserable — just look at exes Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. The duo were spotted at an event for their son Samuel, 11, looking as happy as ever!
Affleck and Garner attended Samuel’s basketball game in Santa Monica on Sunday and were photographed talking and laughing together while they waited for their son after the game. In the photos, which TMZ has HERE, The Last Thing He Told Me star is dressed casually in a gray sweatshirt with her hair in a ponytail. Affleck is wearing a blue and red button-down shirt over a gray t-shirt. They are both laughing and look so happy together. Later, Samuel joins them, and the trio walk out together in a sweet (co)parent-child moment. We love that they can put aside their past and be there for the kids!

Garner and the Air producer were married in June 2005 and split 10 years later. They share three kids together: Samuel, Seraphina, 14, and Violet, 17. Affleck married Jennifer Lopez in July 2022 and is now stepdad to her twins Emme and Max, who she shares with ex Marc Anthony. Garner has also moved on and has been dating John Miller since 2018.
The famous blended family are often spotted out together. Last month, Affleck and the Alias alum met up at the YMCA to watch another one of Samuel’s games. Affleck casually twirled a basketball on his finger while Garner said goodbye to Samuel and Violet, who later left with their dad. It seems the kid exchange is still going smoothly!

In a March 2021 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Garner said, “When our kids get married, we’ll dance, I know that now. We’ll boogaloo and have a great time. I don’t worry about that anymore.”
Going through a split with kids involved is never easy, but Affleck and Garner prove that it’s possible to make it work — and actually enjoy it! — with enough time and effort.
