Ben Affleck Gets Mistaken for Matt Damon in New Dunkin' Donuts Commercial

Ben Affleck gave a hilarious nod to longtime friend Matt Damon in his latest Dunkin' Donuts commercial.

In a funny new ad, the Deep Water star is seen arriving at Dunkin'—his go-to coffee spot—to film a commercial.

"I'm here for the Dunkin' Run…campaign, commercial," he says. "It's a great deal—a large coffee, a donut for a buck. I mean, it's pretty cool. So, I thought it would be like authentic and meta—yes, I'm doing the commercial, but am I doing the commercial?"

As he speaks, the two donut shop employees behind the counter look more and more confused.

Affleck adds, "You know, I don't do commercials. I'm a real actor. This is an art form for me."

He soon realizes the employees don't recognize him. "You know, The Departed," one employee suggests to the other.

"The Departed," Affleck repeats, slightly offended for the mix-up.

"Are you in The Departed?" one Dunkin' barista asks him. At that, Affleck shakes his head and smirks. "I'm Matt Damon," he says.

One barista quickly replies, "I love him," to which Affleck jokingly shakes his head in disapproval. "Nah, I mean some of his work," he says.

"He's had a really consistent career," the Dunkin' worker adds, to which Affleck groans in frustration.

The clip ends with Affleck walking out of the shop with his large iced coffee and a donut.

Affleck directed the ad himself after having starred in a Super Bowl commercial for the company. In the first ad, the actor is seen taking orders at a Dunkin' Donuts drive-thru in Massachusetts in full Dunkin' attire. At one point, his wife, Jennifer Lopez, pulls up to the window and asks him what he's doing.
