The actor shared some major revelations.

After much speculation, Ben Affleck is finally filling us in on what happened that night at the 2023 Grammys that turned him into a viral meme

The Good Will Hunting actor, 50, finally opened up about why he appeared so miserable during music's biggest night–but to our surprise, nothing that serious happened.

During a new cover story that was published on Thurs. Mar. 16 with the Hollywood Reporter, Affleck claimed that he was caught off guard during a skit with the Grammys host, Trevor Noah.

“I saw [Noah approach], and I was like, ‘Oh, God,'” he admitted.

“They were framing us in this shot, but I didn’t know they were rolling," he said before revealing what the conversation was that he had with his wife, Jennifer Lopez, 53, that was caught on camera.

He admitted to joking around with JLo, telling her, “As soon they start rolling, I’m going to slide away from you and leave you sitting next to Trevor.”

“She goes, ‘You better f–king not leave,'” Affleck added. “That’s a husband-and-wife thing. I mean, some of it is, I’m like, ‘All right, who is this act?'”

Now that the Grammys drama is put to rest, Affleck also revealed that he's spending most of his days playing the beloved word game that took over the internet in 2021, Wordle.

Except, unlike us, Affleck took it up a notch and played the game Octordle, and he plays it with some pretty famous friends–Matt Damon, Jason Bateman and Bradley Cooper

"It’s just Wordle with more words. Don’t be impressed, it’s not harder," he said of the Octordle game.

"I was invited to join a cool little red velvet rope celebrity Wordle group. Matt [Damon]’s one of them. Jason Bateman and Bradley [Cooper], and … Actually, the first rule of Wordle is don’t talk about Wordle. Unless you get it in three guesses," he quipped.

Affleck also dropped yet another bombshell during his interview with the outlet, stating that he is not interested in directing a DC movie under the new DC Studios CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran.

“I would not direct something for the [James] Gunn DC. Absolutely not,” Affleck revealed nearly seven years after it was announced that he would be writing, directing, and starring in a Batman film.

“I have nothing against James Gunn. Nice guy, sure he’s going to do a great job. I just wouldn’t want to go in and direct in the way they’re doing that. I’m not interested in that," he admitted.
