Belleville’s newest restaurant announces opening date for this week. What to know

Los Amigos Belleville announced its grand opening date this week on the location’s Facebook page.

Starting Wednesday, April 24, folks can enjoy some good food and drinks at 2630 Mascoutah Ave.

Owner Erick Roman previously said that he was waiting for his liquor license before opening. He was granted a license from the city but still needed his state license, which he planned to get last week.

The business is also currently hiring bartenders, servers and bussers, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page.

Los Amigos Belleville is located at the former El Gordito, which closed in January after more than a decade.

Los Amigos has another area location at 950 Talon Drive in O’Fallon, which opened last April, as well as restaurants in Carlyle, Greenville Vandalia, Effingham in Illinois and one in Kokomo, Indiana.

Hours at the new Belleville restaurant are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
