Bella Thorne and Benjamin Mascolor have allegedly broken up after a year-long engagement. A source confirmed the split and provided some insight into the former couple's separation in a statement to People.
"Bella Thorne and Benjamin Mascolo have parted ways, calling off their engagement of over a year," the source revealed. "Their conflicting schedules led to a lot of time apart that eventually resulted in the breakup, but the two have parted ways amicably."
News of their breakup comes as a surprise to many. Just last month, Benjamin celebrated his soon-to-be wife on Mother's Day. "Happy Mother’s Day to the future momma of our kids! 🤍🤍🤍," he captioned the two-picture carousel post. Bella even replied, writing, "Ur so freaking cute" and "I love you" in the comments.
The former couple announced their engagement in March 2021, after dating for two years. Bella showcased the dazzling diamond engagement ring Benjamin popped the question with via her Instagram Story. The Italian singer followed suit by sharing a video on his IG Story, where he gushed, "Thank you for being amazing, baby. I love you so much. Yay, we're getting married. Celebration in Italy and America both." He shared the good news in an in-feed post, too. "She said YES 💍🖤," he wrote.
Rumors of a potential romance with Bella and Benjamin first surfaced in 2019, days after she ended her relationship with Mod Sun, who she and Tana Mongeau were in an open relationship with.
Neither Bella nor Benjamin have officially confirmed their split.
