Bella Ramsey Wears a Green Prada Suit on the Emmys Red Carpet

Tonight, Bella Ramsey attended the 2023 Emmy Awards in a green Prada suit, expertly paired with a purple button-down shirt that parted at the collar to reveal a red turtleneck, and dark brown loafers. Their hair was slicked back into an updo.
The star is nominated for their role in HBO’s hit series The Last of Us for Lead Actress in a Drama Series. They play Ellie, a young girl who is seemingly the only person immune to the raging zombie fungus infection in the show’s post-apocalyptic universe. Ellie is being led to safety by Joel, played by Pedro Pascal.
The two stars have established a tight-knit relationship after playing into the parent and child-like dynamic exhibited in the series. The pair were recently photographed together at the AFI Awards Luncheon sharing a warm embrace.
For Variety’s Actors on Actors, Pascal told Steven Yeun that before getting to know Ramsey, it was “scary” that he was “going into an experience that was 12 months away from home—with a teenager” while filming. He added that he quickly noted Ramsey is “cool.”
“I couldn’t have asked for a more anchoring, generous, thoughtful teenager. And I don’t mean to say that in a patronizing way,” he shared. “I relied on Bella for so much of the experience. We were both scared and shy about that, but Bella just inspired me to be mature about it.”
Pascal continued, “I really don’t think I’ve met anybody like Bella. They brought the best out of me as a person.”
Ramsey had similar things to say about Pascal in an interview with GameRant.com, saying their real relationship was a “nice parallel” to Ellie’s relationship with Joel, even though the two hadn’t met before filming.
“We were very much just thrown in,” Ramsey recalled. “And that chemistry was just there immediately and just grew and developed as Joel and Ellie’s did. As their relationship developed so did ours.”
