Bella Hadid and The Weeknd Spotted Together at a Movie Screening at Cannes Film Festival

Rumors have been flying around Bella Hadid and The Weeknd for weeks now, and whispers of a possible rekindled romance have only heated up now that the Cannes Film Festival is underway.

According to Elle, the model and singer were spotted sitting side-by-side in a movie theater on Friday, May 11. Photos of the pair were captured on Instagram, where fans soon flocked to the comments to speculate on what the pictures could mean. (Unsurprisingly, there were plenty of heart emoji to be found.)

News of Bella and The Weeknd's possible "movie date" came just hours after the two were reportedly seen kissing at the festival in France. Last month, Bella and The Weeknd also reportedly shared a lip-lock at Coachella — according to sources who saw it go down, that is.

Of course, until we hear from Bella and The Weeknd themselves, we don't officially know whether or not they're back together. And, for the record, sharing an arm rest and breathing the same air during a movie screening doesn't necessarily constitute a date — or anything romantic at all, for that matter. After all, The Weeknd also 'grammed a picture with his friends in a movie theater, writing "Honestly, just tryna watch movies" in the caption. Maybe it's a sign that everyone should cool it a little with the rumors — sometimes a movie is just a movie.
