Bella Hadid Wears a Bra as a Top
Bella Hadid was just spotted in Paris wearing a daring black suit from Dior that was practically pulled straight off the runway. But it wasn’t just any runway show that the look had debuted in that day. It was the Dior Homme show, proving once again that Bella can wear anything from men's suiting to ultrafeminine tutus and bustiers and look killer. As Bella always does, though, she made it totally her own.
Kris van Assche, the creative director of Dior Homme since 2007, shared a snap of the 21-year-old model at his studio for fittings earlier that day. Embracing the brunette, he wrote, “WHEN @bellahadid CAME OVER FOR FITTINGS 🖤🖤🖤 LOVE.”
Bella took it to the next level, making the masculine runway look all her own, opting for a single-breasted jacket that she buttoned at her waist (instead of the double-breasted that the male model walked the runway in) to reveal a sheer black underwire bra underneath. To keep her signature high-low style, she dressed down the tailored silhouette with a pair of sporty red-black-and-white sneakers from Balenciaga. When it came to accessories, she tied a simple black scarf around her neck and slipped on a pair of thin black sunglasses.
For the past few seasons, we have seen our fair share of tailored suiting as well as athleisure looks. We love that Bella has fused the two, choosing to pair her blazer and trousers with athletic-inspired kicks. While her sartorial peers are mixing the two trends by styling their sweatpants with heels, it’s refreshing to see Bella take a different approach and we expect this is only the beginning when it comes to the look that will most certainly take street style by storm this season.
