Bella Hadid Shut Down Reports She Was Kissing The Weeknd at Coachella on Instagram

Bella Hadid has dismissed reports regarding a reunion with The Weeknd during Coachella.

Following the conclusion of the music festival's first weekend, multiple sources had told several news outlets that Bella and The Weeknd were reportedly engaging in PDA, including kissing and cuddling on Friday night at a pop-up. Reports of the reunion had remained unconfirmed by both Bella and Abel Tesfaye (The Weeknd) until Monday evening.

On April 16, Bella took to an Instagram post made by E! News to shut down the rumors. The publication's post featured an old photograph of Bella and The Weeknd from when they were together and was captioned: "The Weeknd and Bella Hadid were spotted 'kissing all night' at a #Coachella after party and it’s safe to say we didn’t feel it coming." Bella used a short and sweet reply to deny the reports, writing: "it wasn't me 🤷🏻‍♀️🕵."

Her comment quickly amassed thousands of likes and reactions. One fan wrote, "omg her response this is amazing." Plenty of other people shared similar sentiments, entertained by the supermodel's reply.

While Bella and The Weeknd went their different ways back in the fall of 2016, they've reportedly still kept in touch every so often. Last year, a source said that Bella knows they "can at least be good friends."

This case of mistaken identity serves as an important reminder of how it's always best to take these sorts of reports with a grain of salt. Despite how many sources may come forward with their version of events, it's always best to wait for official confirmation from the stars themselves. And just because these celebrities live in the public eye doesn't mean we are even entitled to this information. Whether celebrities choose to respond to these types of reports remains up to them, and we as fans should respect their privacy.
