What Bella Hadid Is Practicing the Most for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show
At 20 years old, Bella Hadid is no stranger to the runway-especially after walking in shows like Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren and DKNY-but the model does have some qualms about her Victoria's Secret Fashion Show debut.
"On the runway for high fashion you just don't really think," Hadid told People. "You just walk and it's an everyday thing. You do so many shows a day that it's kind of you're showing off the clothes."
But the VS shows, on the other hand are about much more than the clothes. "It's about personality," she added."It's about the lingerie, but you also have to keep a smile on your face. You have to interact. It's a different experience than I am really used to."
The biggest challenge for Bella? The smiling. "I am not a very good smiler on cue," she told the mag during her VS fitting. "I have to practice that a lot."
To work on her grinning skills, the younger Hadid sister admits she places a large mirror in front of her roommate's door in their apartment so she has more room to walk and practice. "It's perfect for me, but she can't really get out of her room," she joked. From the looks for her audition video, it seems she's already nailed the walk.
And though Bella says she's not a natural smiler, ultimately, we can't help but disagree.
