Bella Hadid Kicks Off Fashion Week in a ’90s Tube Dress
Yesterday, en route to a pre-Fashion Week party at Cipriani, Bella Hadid wore quite the cusp-of-the-’00s look: a tube dress. The crinkly and stretchy black piece was clingy and curve-skimming. More turn-of-Y2K additions? Hadid sported a pair of tinted sunglasses, fist-size hoops, a micro bag, and a pair of yellow pumps. A final throwback touch came courtesy of a tiny anklet on her right foot.
Tube dressing has made a comeback as of late. Just this past summer, Kourtney Kardashian wore a burgundy leather tube dress by Area and a few weeks later, her sister Kendall Jenner stepped out in a fur-trimmed tube top by Pearle Knits. After all, the barely-there, bold shoulder look is a minimalist way to make a maximal statement.
