After months of loungewear sets and FaceTime photo shoots, celeb street style is finally making a comeback – with proper social distancing and face masks, of course. Last week, Bella Hadid was captured by the paparazzi for the very first time since March and, rest assured, her outfit was as good as ever.

Queen of the 1990s revival, Bella fully lived up to her name. She donned a cropped tee, Playboy-printed corduroys (AKA the most '90s phrase I've ever written), and a pair of Chuck Taylor sneakers straight off the VSCO girl starter pack.

This throwback of a ensemble gets even better (yes, really) once you take a second glance at her accessories. Bella still wears the hoop earrings, mini shades, and dainty necklaces she loved before quarantine, but she also added a face mask for COVID protection and the sold-out Telfar handbag every influencer is dying to get their hands on.

To the naked eye, this might seem like a meaningless street style moment, but these details are signs of the times – stylish relics of a bigger societal push towards social justice and public health. Bella's outfit tells two important lessons we should all take to heart: shop more black-owned fashion brands and wear your damn mask.
