Bell Park playground complete

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at Bell Park to celebrate a new playground made possible by the City of San Angelo and the Alcohol and Drug Awareness Center for the Concho Valley.

The ADACCV received a grant from Texas Health and Human Services to install the new equipment.

“Through some CCP COVID funding that we received, we were able to pass through quite a bit of money to help fund some park activities,” said Community Coalition Partnership Director for the ADACCV Gilbert Mendoza. “So with MLK Park we did the bathroom, helped fund those and with Mountain View Park we did some equipment as well that won’t be ready until September and then Bell Street Park, which we have completed today which is why we are here to do a ribbon cutting and to celebrate on earth day.”

After the ribbon cutting, there was an option to take home a potted plant in honor of Earth Day.
