Ghosts has found life at CBS! The American adaptation of the British series (also named Ghosts) premiered back in October 2021 and was renewed for a second season that same month. Now, the premiere of the second season is just around the corner!

The series starring Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar has followed the success of other American adaptations of British imports like The Office. With a loyal fanbase eager for more episodes, many are clamoring for more news about the new season.

When is the release date for Ghosts season 2?

The second season of Ghosts is set to premiere on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, at 8:30 p.m. EST—a new time slot. The series will be airing new episodes weekly.

Is there a trailer for Ghosts Season 2?

Lucky for us, there is a trailer for the second season of Ghosts! The trailer mainly consists of a compilation of important scenes from season 1 to catch us up to speed. However, it ends with a couple of hints for the new season — the grand opening of the Woodstone Mansion B&B and the potential for Jay Arondekar (Utkarsh Ambudkar) to have gained the ability to see the ghosts as well!

What is the second season of Ghosts about?

Season 2 of Ghosts picks right back up where we left our beloved living and dead characters at the end of season 1. The Arondekars are looking to turn their inherited dilapidated mansion into a bed and breakfast and are set to begin receiving their first guests this season. In addition, the question of whether Jay is able to see ghosts now too after sustaining a head injury (much like the way his wife Samantha gained her second sight) will be explored. How many episodes will there be in Ghosts Season 2?

It is not yet known how many episodes will be in the second season of Ghosts. The first season consisted of 18 episodes, but many times a second outing can have more. However, it is safe to assume the episode count will be similar to that of the first season.

What happened in Ghosts Season 1?

In the first season of Ghosts, married couple Samantha and Jay Arondekar inherit a beautiful country house from Sam’s distant relative Sophie Woodstone. While at first, the New Yorkers are excited about the mansion, they soon discover it is falling apart. Not only that—the place is haunted by the ghosts of the people who passed away on the grounds! Sam is able to see the ghosts after a near-death experience, while Jay cannot. The couple grows to form a bond with their unintended—and deceased— houseguests.

Why does Trevor from Ghosts have no pants?

A goofy mystery in the first season is why finance bro Trevor is facing the afterlife sans pants. It turns out Trevor had actually loaned his pants to a new colleague, Pinkus, who was the victim of a hazing ritual by their coworkers. Pinkus had had his pants and boxers taken from him and was supposed to make his way back into the city with nothing but his shirt and socks on. Trevor, in a surprisingly nice move, gave Pinkus his boxers and pants before dying that same night.

What happened to the headless ghost on Ghosts?

We do not yet know how the headless ghost Crash on Ghosts was decapitated. However, we do know he was part of a biker gang in the 1950s. We assume an answer is coming—maybe this season!

When she hugged the bear, it, unfortunately, killed her— rude!

Sas has a very special place of power in the mansion. He knows a significant amount about the history of the area due to his age and also he has a powerful insight into the lives—and deaths—of the other ghosts in the mansion.

What is Hetty's Ghost power?

Hetty’s Ghost power has yet to be revealed. However, the other ghosts believe she is able to send people to Hell after witnessing her final conflict with her recently reunited husband—a belief she does nothing to dissuade as it helps her keep the rest of the spirits in line!

Who are the ghosts in the basement in Ghosts?

The ghosts who live in the basement in Ghosts are the Cholera Ghosts who—you guessed it—died of cholera. While living, they were told they would be treated for cholera but were instead isolated inside the mansion and abandoned.

What happened to Elias in Ghosts?

Elias suffered one of the worst fates of the ghosts in the mansion. The designer of a vault in the home locked him inside because he was angry Elias had slept with his wife. This meant Elias died, either as a result of starving to death or lack of air. However, he was not able to pass through the walls of the vault and spent years with only his own decomposing corpse for company until the vault was opened by Sam and Jay.
