New "Priscilla" Trailer Gives a First Look at Jacob Elordi and Cailee Spaeny as Elvis and Priscilla Presley

Following the debut of Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic, which featured Austin Butler in the titular role, we have another film on the King of Rock and Roll to look forward to. But this time, Priscilla Presley, Elvis’s first wife, takes center stage.

In September 2022, Deadline reported that Sofia Coppola is directing a new feature film based on Priscilla Presley’s 1985 memoir, Elvis and Me. The movie, aptly titled Priscilla, will chronicle her life with Elvis, from meeting in Germany when she was 14 years old to living at Graceland, then marrying and eventually divorcing the musician.

“I was just so interested in Priscilla’s story and her perspective on what it all felt like to grow up as a teenager in Graceland,” the Academy Award-winning director told Vogue in an October 14 interview. “She was going through all the stages of young womanhood in such an amplified world — kinda similar to Marie Antoinette.”

Coppola has tapped Mare of Easttown’s Cailee Spaeny to play Priscilla, and Euphoria’s Jacob Elordi to play Elvis. The film has started production in Toronto, but we’re already incredibly impatient to learn all of the details. Get ready for another look at Jacob Elordi as Elvis. JustJaredJr obtained photos of the Euphoria actor and his co-star Cailee Spaeny filming new scenes for the highly anticipated film on November 14. Jacob was dressed in a brown blazer, a caramel sweater, and dark pants. He even had the infamous Elvis pompadour hairstyle. Cailee wore a matching brown coat, a white shirt, and a light-colored skirt.

On Tuesday, October 25, 2022, TMZ published photos from the set, and we officially have our first look (!) at Jacob Elordi as the King of Rock and Roll. In a couple of shots, the actor was dressed up in a blue suit, sporting Elvis’s impressive hair height. In others, he was dressed casually in a pair of black shorts and a black-and-white striped shirt. Cailee (Priscilla) wore a mini-flowered dress.

Is there a trailer?

A24 just released the first official trailer for Priscilla, and it's just as good as we hoped. Cailee looks exactly like Priscilla with her iconic Aqua Net beehive hairstyle and thick winged eyeliner. We get a few glimpses of her on-screen chemistry with Jacob in clips where their characters spend sweet moments together away from the screaming fans and cameras.

The minute-long video doesn't give away much of the plot, but it's clear that the movie will be focused on Priscilla's life as a young girl, as a wife, and later as a mother. Watch the full clip below.

No, not yet. The movie recently started production, so it might be some time until we have a confirmed release date.
