After testing 20 of ‘em, we had three favorites: two electric models (capable of hot and cold foam) and a handheld option (cold foam-only). While the electric ones are certainly great, let’s focus on the latter: the $24 Golde Superwhisk.

While most of the handheld milk frothers we tested performed similarly (i.e. frothing up cold milk with ease—though you certainly can froth hot milk with it, provided you heat up the milk first), the Golde’s design set it apart.
