How do you like your Hardee's Biscuits, with butter or slathered in strawberry jam? Well, how about in your next beer?

If you're still reading, you might be pleased to hear that Hardee's and Southern Grist Brewing Co. have teamed up to create Strawberry Biscuit Ale, a new biscuit-flavored beer.

Available starting September 1, Strawberry Biscuit Ale is the perfect way to kick off National Biscuit Month thanks to its hints of strawberry jam and buttermilk.

You may be wondering how Southern Grist was able to make a biscuit-flavored cream ale. To pull off the fluffy feat, the Nashville-based brewery used a staggering 200 pounds of biscuits.

"When we came up with the idea for a Hardee's Biscuit Beer, only one brewery came to mind to bring the idea to life – Southern Grist," said CKE Restaurants VP of Global Culinary Innovation Owen Klein, in a statement. "They approach brewing with the same mad scientist mentality that we use for our new menu launches and know how to deliver on flavor. After a few rounds of testing, Southern Grist nailed it. An amazing crushable beer with subtle notes of fresh-baked biscuits, buttermilk, and strawberry jelly. All it took was a few hundred pounds of Made From Scratch Biscuits."

To get your hands on Strawberry Biscuit Ale, you can visit the Southern Grist Brewing Co. Taproom in Nashville or have the beer shipped to you from the brewery if you're of legal drinking age and are in select markets.
