Savoir Beds—the century-old, London-based sleep company—is known for its luxurious mattresses, surfaces that have quite literally supported the likes of everyone from Winston Churchill to Rihanna during stays at the Savoy, the iconic hotel for which the beds were first made.

And though Savoir assures that its handmade beds will give you the sleep of your dreams, the brand’s latest collaboration seems built for those who like to stay up. Partnering with British fashion and textile designer Dame Zandra Rhodes—known as much for her work with icons such as Princess Diana and Freddie Mercury as her neon pink bob—the collection brings out a playful energy that the brand rarely showcases. The No. 2 bed, a Savoir staple, has been reimagined in bold prints, marrying Rhodes’s famed maximalist “Lilies” prints with the brand’s classic frames.

Rhodes first designed “Lilies” 50 years ago while on a trip to Tokyo, the 80-year-old designer recalled during a press conference. “Issey Miyake had given me a bunch of lilies, and when I got back to my hotel I immediately started laying them out in what would become the fabric,” Rhodes said.

The Savoir X Zandra Rhodes collection is available in six colorways, from fawn to fuchsia. Combined with a Savoir bed, the florals arc across the headboard in a bright half mandala. “A bed is something that needs to encourage you to disappear into another world,” Rhodes, who designed the collection entirely in lockdown, reflected. “The range of colors is almost these different moods, and depending on which one you choose, the bed becomes different things.”

In the case of this latest Savoir collection, we reckon that’s a passport to a chic night’s sleep.
