Bebe Rexha Addressed the Designers Who Didn't Want to Dress Her at the 2019 Grammy Awards

Body shamers, be gone.

Bebe Rexha is teaching fashion designers everywhere a lesson with her look at the 2019 Grammy Awards.

After the pop star received her first two Grammy nominations in January, she should've been celebrating her accomplishments — but instead, she reportedly struggled to find someone who wanted to dress her for the ceremony because of her size. Bebe addressed the situation in an Instagram video on January 21 in which she called out those designers for challenging the beauty of anyone above a size eight.

And since she knows better than to believe any haters, the "Say My Name" singer slayed the red carpet on Sunday, February 10 in a scarlet Monsoori gown. Looking like a Valentine's daydream, Bebe laughed for the cameras while showing off her halter-style top with an accentuated waist and flowing tulle skirt. The Best New Artist and Best Country/Duo Group Performance nominee finished off the look with a sparkly necklace, bright earrings, and a perfectly coiffed half-up hairstyle.

When asked about the controversy, the singer had the perfect response for the designers who missed out on the opportunity to style her. "Yo, you wish you could've dressed my fat ass!" she declared before twirling around.

We're glad to see Bebe found a designer who wouldn't engage in any of that body-shaming nonsense — and clearly, her fans are, too. During E!'s Live From the Red Carpet, she told Ryan Seacrest that she'd received an overwhelming amount of support after initially speaking out. "It’s been amazing. I didn’t expect it. I just did the video because I was really heartbroken and it bummed me,” she said. “They said I was too big or fat and I love my body and I just want other girls to love their bodies.”

You hear that, fashion industry? Go ahead and take some notes.
