LIZ LOZA: Well, um, it's never not peach season in Chicago. With the Bears first-- first-- it's round two, right? But still, their first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Ryan Pace selects Cole Kmet, tight end out of Notre Dame.

Now, Kmet is a great prospect at the top of most tight end rankings. Also, a local kid from Lake Barrington, Illinois. But, you know, I probably should've seen this coming when the Bears released Trey Burton, who was subsequently signed to a one-year deal by the Colts. Um, however, the Bears also signed Jimmy Graham to a two-year $16 million deal. So I guess Kmet is Graham's backup. And we don't have any other needs at all. And Ryan Pace loves him a tight end.
