Bearded Dragon Rescued After Losing His Feet Is Living a Life of Luxury
Just wait until you find out his perfect name!
This is a horribly sad story with an absolutely wonderful ending. A bearded dragon's feet fell off because skin that was supposed to shed off stuck around his wrists and ankles causing loss of circulation to his paws. The worst part? The pet store that had him brought him in to be euthanized.
One of the employees at Duke Animal Hospital said not so fast and adopted him. This sweet bearded dragon that lost his feet was shared by TikTok account @Dukeanimalhospital and watch the following to learn his absolutely perfect name.

TikTok users are howling over this and @Rhondawade comments, "I’m sorry for laughing. Lieutenant Dan took me out." For those unfamiliar, Lieutenant Dan was the character played by Gary Sinise in the 1994 movie Forrest Gump. @Dan adds, "The way I screamed “LIEUTENANT DAN” @Beautifullysam adds, "Lt. Dan got me...I love him, I hope he thrives." @DaNaywhatley sweetly says, "This is just proof that the right person is going to love you JUST the way you are."
One user in the comments @Hammie says, "PSA: The reason his feet fell off is from “tail rot”. It happens when they do not shed correctly and blood flow is cut off from the limb." That tracks with what the veterinarian said in the video description.
