David Beckham Named People’s Sexiest Man Alive
David Beckham has been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive — and he deserves it. The superstar soccer player has gone from scruff to full beard and back again, and always manages to look hot. This year is the 30th anniversary of the much debated title, and Beckham joins a group of past honorees that includes Chris Hemsworth, Adam Levine, and Channing Tatum.
His wife, fashion designer and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, may have a hand in his win, helping him with his most recent grooming choices. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Beckham credits his wife for helping him make wise sartorial decisions. “I listen to her advice 99 percent of the time,” says Beckham. “She’s very honest, and if she doesn’t like what I’m wearing, she tells me straight.”
We are pretty sure his wife finds him deserving of the title, but Beckham himself remains a bit skeptical. “I never feel that I’m an attractive, sexy person,” he tells People.“I mean I like to wear nice clothes and nice suits and look and feel godo, but I don’t ever think of myself that way.” In honor of his People cover, which hits newsstands on Friday, here’s a look back at some of Beckham’s best (and hottest) looks.
