Bear Brown and His Pregnant Ex-Fiancée Revealed Their Baby's Gender on Instagram
Bear Brown and Raiven Adams are having a baby boy.
The former couple announced the news on social media.
Congratulations are in order for Bear Brown!
The Alaskan Bush People star just revealed that he and Raiven Adams are expecting a son together this spring. The former couple, who first announced the pregnancy in September, shared the latest update about their future child on Instagram. They each shared identical photos of tiny baby clothes arranged alongside a sonogram photo and a stuffed bear.
"Hey everybody! Guess what? Raiven and I are having a boy!!! And we couldn’t be more excited! It’s hard to believe that this time next year, I’ll actually be a dad!" Bear captioned his post. "Thank you everyone for following my family, and I all this time! Thank you for sticking with us and thank you for always being there for us! Thank you and God bless!!!!"
Raiven kept her announcement simple and wrote just one sentence: "Let the adventure begin."
However, the 21-year-old posted a longer message to her Instagram story shutting down Alaskan Bush People fans' expectations of her baby with Bear.

"For everyone who keeps asking me how I feel about having an extreme child! Or having a child that likes to climb trees. Just because Bear is extreme, and just because Bear likes to climb trees. Does not mean our child will. We are excited to see how his personality develops, based off of who he is as a person. I do not want my child to feel like they have to be someone because social media tells them to. No two people are the same. All of the Browns are complete opposites. I just want my son to be happy and do what he loves."
Throughout her pregnancy, Raiven has been vocal on Instagram about the struggles she's faced being in the public eye. For that reason, she tends to keep a lot of information private—but she did share one more piece of big news along with the gender reveal. Although Raiven is only 17 weeks pregnant, she and Bear have already named their son.
Fingers crossed that the baby's name is part of Raiven and Bear's next big announcement!
