BC's Sun Peaks Bike Park Announces Opening Day For 25th Season

Sun Peaks is a popular bike park in British Columbia that is going into its 25th year of operation.

For the anniversary year, Sun Peaks has announced that the bike park will open on June 15, 2024.

Since the park doubles as a ski resort and is located in the snowy mountains of the BC Interior, the snow takes a long time to melt. The base elevation being over 4,000’ coupled with having only top to bottom lifts, means that the Sun Peaks is forced to open later than other parks like its main competitor, Whistler that enjoys a lower and upper lift.

It is certainly worth the wait. With over 50 miles of trails on its 2000 vertical feet, Sun Peaks is a playground with trails of all kinds. Watch pro riders Brendan Howey and Jesse Munden explore the terrain in a recent edit.
